My contractor contacted them and was told they charge $150 an hour. After that I talked to them set up an appointment, also they said they charge $150 an hour plus 15 minute for travel time. The technician came and replaced the sink and the toilet in the bathroom Also, installed the sink drain in the kitchen and after he did the work, he said that the stove wont go all the way back to the wall because the gas pipe was on the way and needs to be replaced. I said I am not going to do so thinking in mind ( he is telling this after he finished the work $$)So he called the office and was told not to Touch the gas pipe and just rap up the work.He handed me a bill of $665 which Was more than the hours he spent in my apartment added to travel time, but I gave him a check. Then the office called me and said that the technician forgot to charge me for the permit which is another $135. I Paid. The inspector came with **** and said we have to redo the sink pipe and install a new gas pipe to the stove. I talk to **** and said can you please give me a break and a rough verbal estimate so I plan where to get the money from, he said around $700 I said why this is your technician mistake, you dont tell me that I need to replace some thing after you install it He said he will see what he can do.The technician came back, this time he installed a new gas pipe to the stove, a new drain pipe for the kitchen sink and installed a spout in the bathroom tub.He was there for 2 1/2 hours, he handed me a bill of $683. From 9am until 11:15am, how is that making since? He said he had to stop by the store to pick up parts for me!! I paid it too. The new stove arrived, needs to be hooked up, he was there for 40 minutes, gave me a bill of $154 and another permit fee off $135.I didnt pay.I received a bill $285.Called the office saying I need a copy of all permits and the store receipt.Tow days later I received a fixed bill to the permit. They way over charged me

    Business Response

    Date: 10/07/2022

My contractor contacted them and was told they charge $150 an hour. We were referred to this
customer from the code department for work being done illegally. After that I talked to them set up
an appointment, also they said they charge $150 an hour plus 15 minute for travel time. The
technician came and replaced the sink and the toilet in the bathroom Also, installed the sink drain in
the kitchen and after he did the work, he said that the stove wont go all the way back to the wall
because the gas pipe was on the way and needs to be replaced. I said I am not going to do so
thinking in mind ( he is telling this after he finished the work $$) The technician expressed concern
regarding the stove distance from the back wall before starting the work on the kitchen sink. The
owner wanted the work done as cheaply as possible. So he called the office and was told not to
Touch the gas pipe and just wrap up the work If she didnt want to pay for the work, we werent going
to touch the gas line.. He handed me a bill of $665 which Was more than the hours he spent in my
apartment added to travel time, but I gave him a check. Then the office called me and said that the
technician forgot to charge me for the permit which is another $135.YES, The Technician forgot to
tell the office that a Plumbing permit fee was going to be needed. I Paid. The inspector came with
**** and said we have to redo the sink pipe and install a new gas pipe to the stove EXISTING
STOVE . When we met the owner with the inspector, it was explained to her, that if she wanted the
stove close to the wall, the gas piping, kitchen drain and water piping for the sink would need to be
removed then replumbed to fit, which could have been done during the original visit if she wanted to
pay to have the work done, which she refused. Also during the visit with the inspector, the inspector
condemned the stove because it would not work properly. She needed to get a new stove. I talk to
**** and said can you please give me a break and a rough verbal estimate so I plan where to get
the money from, he said around $700 The final bill for the rework came to $683.00. I said why this is
your technician mistake(we did not make any mistakes, we did what the owner wanted to get the
work done as quickly as possible, as she was concerned with not wanting to pay a lot of money),
you dont tell me that I need to replace some thing after you install it We did not install the stove
originally He said he will see what he can do. The technician came back, this time he installed a new
gas pipe to the stove, a new drain pipe for the kitchen sink and installed a (owner supplied) spout in
the bathroom tub. He was there for 2 1/2 hours, he handed me a bill of $683. Plumber left the shop
at 8:00 and billed to 11:30 (3-1/2 hrs $525.00) From 9am until 11:15am, how is that making since?
He said he had to stop by the store to pick up parts for me!! I paid it too YES, sometimes parts are
needed, the customer is responsible for this time as we are getting stock for them.. The new stove
arrived, needs to be hooked up, he was there for 40 minutes, gave me a bill of $154 and another
permit fee off $135. Any time we arrive at a property to do work, this is considered a service call
which is billable. We do have a 1-hour minimum on all service calls. Even though we did disconnect
the gas piping from the old stove so the owner could get a new stove that worked, Its not a one
price covers multiple visits for work. She was only charged for the work that was done on each visit,
with fees for parts and permits.I didnt pay. I received a bill $285. Called the office saying I need a
copy of all permits and the store receipt. Two days later I received a fixed bill to the permit. They way
over charged me. She was not overcharged, she owes the balance in full
