My experience is they will continue to perform procedures (endoscopy and/or colonoscopy) despite knowing there is malfunctioning equipment, specifically, the scope/camera which fails to take actual images that are recorded from these types of IMAGING SCOPE procedures. Office manager Julie ******* explained that this is pretty common in fact it's a 5 + percent occurrence that they will continue to perform the procedure knowing if the malfunctioning without any camera or image functioning and still bill you and your insurance company for the full procedure despite you not having any image results. If I would have been told, (my procedure was at 1230 pm so they knew equipment failed all morning), that the camera malfunctioned and I would have NO IMAGES documenting this scope IMAGING procedure I would have left but I wasn't told that because apparently it's a common occurrence there BUT they don't have any backup or procedure to address or correct WHAT??? In this modern age of technology with endless cloud data backups, nope they didn't even have images that were taken as stills or even a video of scope procedure that you could actually grab stills from to provide to the patient. So when the equipment fails you get nothing NO IMAGES see photo of all I received following the $5K IMAGING procedure. I have contacted my insurance company to fight this, reported the negligence because we did not receive the expected IMAGING procedure! The fact that Juile ******* continued to fail to see the absurdity of her defending this as BOTH an ongoing common occurrence WITHOUT recognizing the responsibility to create a fail safe protocol to prevent this from EVER occurring using backups/cloud OR ensuring the patient knows this prior to the procedure and can reschedule when the equipment essential to the IMAGING procedure is PROPERLY WORKING, was the most incompetent and unprofessional conversation I ever have had.
