Contract stated Outside vendor was necessary for alcohol to be served at this event , The G&G catering service that was listed to be served during the party was in fact no such thing. bartender stole bottles of alcohol and stored them in a cabinet inside of event building. Employers from this event began to eat food that was not given to them. This place has scammed many other people and should be stopped immediately.

    Re: Complaint ID ********
    Vendor Response
On September 7th, 2024, we contracted with the customer for her to host a 30th birthday party for her friend on *******************.  We have attached the reservation form signed on both sides by the customer.
Note the first section of the terms & conditions which state:
A security deposit in the amount of $150 and a signed, approved contract are required to secure event dates and times.  Events are treated as tentative until the contract  and deposit are received.  The deposit will be applied to any charges not covered by the event fee.  The security deposit minus any assessed damages shall be returned to the renter the week following your event.
The computer generated reservation forms are emailed to the customers each week showing the total payments received and any items added or deleted.
On the night of the event, items added to the customers reservation included:
      Two rectangular tables
      Two rectangular tablecloths
Eight gold metallic pub table toppers
The 25 x 14  Grand Grand Floor graphic was added the night of the event at no charge to the customer. A $99 value.
The cost of these items were added to the reservation form and the amount was deducted from the security deposit.
To avoid confusion we supply each customer a 30 page full color Event Planning Guide **************************************************************** where our services and prices are listed. As well as the attached a Reservation form showing the price of every item. Further information is available on our extensive web site **************************** including a lengthy Frequently Asked Question section.
We refunded the balance of the remaining security deposit ($ 70) on January 7th, 2025.
The customer called to question why her full security deposit had not been refunded and upon my review of her reservation form, I explained to her that items had been added at her request on the night of the event. We emailed a detailed reservation form and  asked her to review the final form and to let us know if there was any service or rental item listed that she did not receive.  We did not receive a response until we received this BBB complaint.  As a goodwill gesture, we refunded $80 on January 29th, 2025, bringing the total amount refunded equal to the original security deposit amount of $150.
Our 4 person staff worked *********************************************************************************** our office.  It is not uncommon for the host ,caterer or guests of the party  to offer food to the staff. Most events leave 3 or 4 trays of partial consumed trays of food after the event.
The host of the event provides the food, alcohol, soda, water cups and ice for their guests.  Skylofts Gallery does not allow BYOB.  If a guest brings a bottle of liquor for their own consumption, they are instructed to take it to the bar for service from the bartender.  If the guest wants to keep his or her bottle private then that bottle is kept out of sight from the remaining guests so no one feels they are being denied a bottle that is on the bar with the host's liquor.  At the end of the event, any remaining alcohol is taken by the host or the guests who brought it.
I was not informed of any issue regarding the alcohol or food the night of the event or in the weeks prior to the BBB complaint being filed. This is an important issue and we apologize for any confusion.
The event was a success. The host and her guests were pleasant. The security deposit was refunded in its entirety.  We look forward to working with them in the future.
