    I took my car into the Jiffy Lube at ***********************************. I have utilized their service before with no issues. I took my 2019 Kia ***** to be serviced on January 7, 2023. On or about May 5 or 6, my check oil light comes on because I am due for an oil change. As I am driving I hear this knocking sound. I am driving with my daughter in the car and my vehicle just shuts off. My vehicle does not start. I had it towed to another Jiffy Lube location because I had no issues before. The great folks at the ******* location were able to look under the car to see if it was the oil plug missing. I explained to them that the last time I had it serviced was at a Jiffy Lube location. I was prompted to take it back to them, but decided that they can fix my engine trouble. I called to speak to a manager at the ********** location. I spoke to ****** *******. He did not have any compassion for my situation and did not take into consideration that someone in his facility did not secure my oil plug the proper way. Mr. ******* states that *** is known for having manufacturing issues and it is ***'s fault and not their fault. He stated he was prompted to have that response from his bosses above him. I spoke to ***'s manufacturing department about any recalls or issues with the oil plugs coming out(case number ********). They explained there are no recalls for my vehicle and all I needed were computer diagnostic upgrades. I was trying to get in contact with Jiffy Lube's regional department, but have not heard from them within the last 24 hours. I would love to keep receiving service from Jiffy Lube, but if this is how they treat their customers, this is a ********************** I do not need. I am a teacher and I have an 8-year-old daughter that I take to and from school each day. This is very unsafe that they would not secure my oil plug which in turn caused my engine to stop. I was stranded on the side of the road for an hour.
