My car had some scratches on it (front and back) and because I did save some money to get body work and a paint job, I contacted the Auto/Point Collision Body and Paint shop on 6/17/2024. They are not far from resident and it was convenient to walk to and from the shop. (I first called to see if Auto/Point Body and Painting were available to repair the car.)
I dropped the car off on the 17th of June, 2024 (prepping day) and it was returned to me on the 19th of June, 2024 (drying and pick up). The total cost was $400.00. I paid $200.00 on 6/17/24 and paid $200.00 on 6/19/2024.
A month and a half ago after, I noticed the paint job fading because I eventually noticed the the original scratches on the car. Then today, 9/2/2024, I noticed that there was black tape on the lower part of the bumper where the small, rounded lights are set due to the design of the car had black tape upon them. I believe the tape was put there to prevent from the black paint being sprayed in that area. I only noticed this because it was a nice day and I manually washed the car. From the time I picked up the car until 9/2/2024, the tape was missed and was not removed by the workers at the shop. Terrible.
I quickly went to the shop today, 9/2/2024, after 12, to explain the matter to the owner or whomever was in charge. He removed the black-duct tape but some stickiness was left upon it from the length of time the tape was on the light shield. I also showed the scratches that were noticeable and informed him that I was not pleased. He asked me why I did not show up earlier about the scratches. I believed he missed the point. One month to two months has not and will not make a difference. The main point is that the job was not done adequately and I am not a pleased customer. He then turned to walk away and said, "Have a good day." This company needs to be reported.

The owner admitted to not fixing the Vehicle or making authorized repairs but collected insurance funds. He then used racially charged epithets “******” and told me to leave before he called the police. He also advised that he was a 3rd degree black belt and said there’s nothing I can do about it. I was not aggressive and I came to the location at his request to look at my vehicle. My vehicle was at another shop and he told me to bring it back only to verbally abuse me, and threaten me with physical harm. He advised that he has many court cases and to add mine to his list. Ralph K*** is his name and I’m surprised he is doing business in a predominantly African American neighborhood and calling an African American a ****** in public while admitting he didn’t fix my vehicle even though Allstate issued him a check.Business Response

.Hello, Mr. **** came in thursday (the day before his complannt was sent to bbb)and we told him to come
back tomorrow to look over his car. he became very aggressive and had to be
separated from my boss. then in the evening was seen by neighbors and an
employee busting windows to 3 vehicles. they did not want to approach him out
of fear. we called the police to press charges. Needless to say we would prefer
not to see him again. All of the work performed on his vehicle was performed
per the insurance estimate (that he attached) ; and If he had simply agreed to bring it in the
next day, we’d have no issues. However, after whats occurred we don’t want to
work on his vehicle . if you need any further info please call me
at ********** or me direct at **********. all work was done . we were willing to look at it and look over everything free of charge, even though the work was done and had no complaints since he left several months ago. we cannot offer any refund.Initial Complaint

I am rejecting this response because:I’ve had to bring my car back numerous of times despite them providing a loaner car. My car should have been fixed properly the first time. Or any of the numerous times I’ve had to bring my car back into the shop. I had to get a second opinion and threaten to sue for them to be willing to fix the problem they caused. I do not want them to “fix” my car I rather have it done at a place that is trustworthy - preferably ****** because of my bad experience at this Auto body shop and I would like them to pay for it to be fixed the correct way.
er, there was welding done, I have a 2021 ****** Corolla and the work done underneath my car is horrible. I now have an air leak in my car from one of the pipes where it was welded on. I notify auto point and told them if they didn’t fix it. I will sue them. I do not want them to touch my car because they had no intention of fixing the problem so I offered them to pay for the repairs to be done at Toyota. The owner was supposed to reach out to me. She never did so now I am pursuing legal action. This business needs to be shut down if they going to continue operating this way.

we regret any inconvenience ms robledo has had. we stand behind our work and offered ms robledo a loaner car in which she could use while we perform any work that was not done properly; or to her satisfaction, the first time. ms robledo refused to allow us to perform any further work on her vehicle. our offer still stands, she is welcome to come or call us at any time. we guarantee her satisfaction if she would allow us to fix her vehicle.

Hello, Im not someone who normally files complaints but I have no idea what else to do and I am at my wits end. My car has been at this shop since November 1st for a repair that was estimated for 14 days. Everytime I call they give me the run around and don't have the answers for me. They told me my rental would be free and they could help me get one (As I have been paying out of pocket for my rental car) but they never did. I am losing money and am stressed as every week its another story about my car. I need help and immediate action and I don't know who else to seek help from.Business Response

Unfortunately, airbag pieces (which were needed for this vehicle) are very difficult to come by, there was a great deal of additional damage to her vehicle, and the availability of parts was what held this vehicle up. To my knowledge, this customer had no rental coverage under her insurance policy. that's why she had no rental vehicle for the repairs. Unfortunately, we have no say in the coverages that a customer selected when purchasing their insurance. We're sorry that the customer was inconvenienced, but we did the best we could to get the job out in a timely fashion. Parts availability was the issue.

I understand parts being limited is the issue. My problem is this was not accurately relayed to me and the staff gave me inaccurate times, statements and dates, which led to my frustration. They also lied and said I would be eligible to get my rental for free and then never fufilled that promise. My issue was not the length of time but rather the unprofessionalism of the staff and entire business as a whole. However, the car is fixed and the situation is over so I don't plan on pursuing this further. But i will not be taking down my complaint.Initial Complaint

in march of 2022, i have taken my 2017 vw cc to get repaired due to accidental damages. i was given a total of 7,000 to fix all the damages that was done to my car. the damages were on the driver side front bumper and driver side rear door/rear bumper and left rear wheel. there were also some minor adjustments that needed to be mad on the right fender. i have been having issues with my car since July 2022. i paid the business 4,000 in cash to get my repairs and still was experiencing problems. i was supposed to get other work done as well but due to their poor customer service, i did not proceed to continue to get my car fixed. all the damages to my car was not major. my car was being worked on from march-June. when i picked up my car, there was still a lot of things that needed to be fixed that i had paid for and parts on my car was missing. also my engine now makes a noise that it had NEVER made before. when i addressed the issue, i was being mistreated and redirected to an new employee that literally just started working for the company only a week ago. none of the mangers wanted to help me they dismissed my concerns. lucky he was able to help and fix the issues to his best abilties. back in july my left wheel that i paid to get fixed, bent inward and was causing problems for me to drive. i had to not drive my car for almost two weeks. then when i brought it back to the shop to get fixed, the manger gave me a hard way to go and was very rude plus disrespectful.
i specifically told one of the mangers when i first brought my car in not to touch the front of the car and they still did without my permission and did not call to ask me. also i was ripped off of $349 for my front bumper. i tried to explain everything as much as possible in this message.Business Response

I'm not satisfied, my reason being I have been having problems and issues with their service before and after of them working on my car. I would not like them to touch my vehicle anymore due to them not being able to fix anything properly or correctly. This is the reason behind me reaching out to BBB. I have brought these issues to their presence since June when I picked up my vehicle from them. They were rude, unprofessional and kept making thing worse. When I made my complaint about the issues I was having when I picked my car up in June, they directed me to speak to a new employee who just only been working there for a week. I had to tell you them to clean the inside of my car out due to them leaving parts inside of my car without my consent or permission. When I brought my car to them into July about my wheel being bent which was due to their mistake, the manger started aggressively yelling at me and being rude when I asked him why would I have to pay for my wheel being fixed. I'm now having to go elsewhere to fix their problems. My engine is literally messed up because of them. I would like to at least get half of my money back. I paid them I cash for all my services and still wasn't able to get everything done. I even paid for parts that they did not put on my car. My car is in worse condition than it was.
