Believe the bad reviews. I would not recommend anyone spend their hard earned money here. I booked loc extension service with the owner, Sharae, via Instagram and she required a $250 deposit. Never did she mention terms of the agreement, such as a cancellation policy or refund policy but I paid the deposit, no problem. Sharae was kind and friendly at first, chatting about our young kids, etc. I booked my service on July 10 for a loc extension appointment with her on July 31. On July 22nd, I contacted her to cancel the appointment due to an emergency (giving over 9 days notice) and she refused to return the deposit saying that she used it to buy the hair for my service. She offered to give me the hair she ordered but I have no use for it. In my experience, the purpose of a deposit is to reserve the professional's time for the appointment, and deposits are withheld when the client causes a loss of revenue -because last minute cancellations mean there is not enough time to fill the appointment time which results in wasted billing hours where money could have been earned. In this case, this is the service she specializes in and she had over a week to fill the time slot. After she initially refused to refund me. I asked for at least a partial refund because it does not make sense to keep my deposit. If we are going with her logic that the money was used to buy hair- this is the service you specialize in and will be able to use the hair with another client. In addition, business supplies (hair) are tax deductible expenses. I'm explaining all this to say - name a reason why my full deposit was kept when I did no harm? There's no excuse for customer service this bad.
