I placed a thanksgiving meal order on Nov 11 with this caterer. Pick up details were to be shared by Nov 20. I never heard from the vendor, and reached out to her on Nov 26. I was told that I could pick up the order on Nov 27 at 8pm. The vendor contacted me at 7:10pm on that date asking if I could push back the pick up time to 9pm. I let the vendor know that 9pm was too late. The vendor stated that she was pushing pick *** to Thanksgiving day. I let her know that would not work for me, and that I had errands to run and additional cooking to complete on Thanksgiving day. The vendor offered to deliver the catering order to me by 10am on Thanksgiving morning. I gave the vendor the address and my scheduled time, to ensure that I had the food in enough time to reheat my selections. I contacted the vendor on Nov. 27 at 9am and asked to be notified when the delivery was en route, and she stated that she would contact me. My 10am delivery never arrived. I reached out to the vendor at approximately 11:45am and asked for an update. The vendor stated that she prioritized other deliveries over mine based on the dinner time that I gave her. I let the vendor know that was unacceptable, and that I had been shifting my schedule around the times that she had provided, which kept being altered at the last minute. I also reminded the vendor of my required cooking and errands which were impacting my own schedule. The vendor did not provide any response. I waited for approximately 2 more hours and finally went to the grocery store to buy ingredients to cook and thanksgiving meal. I contacted the vendor at 2:15pm on thanksgiving day and let her know that I had already bought groceries and I asked for a full refund. The vendor stated that she would not provide a full refund and has been unresponsive to my additional communication.

    Good Afternoon

This year for Thanksgiving I serviced 13 families with a full thanksgiving meal. Each year I run into difficulties with time because the work is extensive I had some clients picking up at 1a Thanksgiving Eve. Every single person was understanding of the time changes except ******

Her dinner start time was 4:30

I was done her order around 2:50p

When Im in the kitchen cooking I cannot constantly check my phone for messages

she paid for a service that she k ew was being executed even though her last message I didnt reply to right away

I never told her that I wasnt completing her order

so she should never have gone to the store to purchase more items

    I cooked her whole meal

and was done before her dinner time

she decided to disregard my hard work and say she didnt want it after it was prepared

I told her I would refund her something but not 100%

because her order was fulfilled and food was purchased in addition to dessert

This customer is now defaming (well trying) me on social media

making videos telling half a story

I will attach that info in a moment

I had to step out of the kitchen to respond

I spoke with the owner ******* ***** a week before this date explaining the food that I wanted and when the event was going to take place . Sunday (GAME DAY) came. At 12:00 PM, I called and texted. No response. Not until MONDAY did I hear from her stating that she was ill. I have placed previous orders with her and got plenty of excuses. I had a function on 10/15/22 and I hired Dash Of Sage to cater. In the beginning I stated to the business owner that you have to have a license to cater in the establishment that the function was at. This owner said to me verbally that she was licensed. She stated that her price would be $1700. I ran down the menu. The menu items ( fried fish, fried chicken, potato salad, string beans, cornbread, Macaroni and cheese, lemonade, Iced Tea, Pasta Salad ( which the pasta salad was missing) were no problem for her. Every month a payment was given to her. During the whole time of payments Dash Of Sage never said they weren't licensed nor insured. The establishment called me and said " Was I aware that Dash Of Sage wasn't licensed " I had no clue, until I called Dash of Sage to see what was going on. After receiving a payments then Dash of Sage says they're not licensed and has been catering for 15yrs. I called the city and county and was told this person should not be cooking. This person has no commercial kitchen, I had to pay $101 for a one day event policy. Dash of Sage refused to take responsibility. At my function the food was cold, my plate had fish on it. When I told the caterer that I have a food allergy. The chicken was dry, wet, the potatoe salad had skin on the potatoes. The potatoes were way to big, the string beans were way to salty, the Ice tea sent one person home because they're diabetic, the lemonade was awful!!!! The bottles of water were so small. I asked for my $1400 back and I was told it was spent already. I also asked for a breakdown to see what was brought. Never received it. I expected so much more from Dash Of Sage and it didn't happened.

Business Response /* (1000, 13, 2022/12/08) */ Good Morning My Name is Shannon Ramos The Owner of Dash of Sage Catering llc Kadedra and I went to high school together. She messaged me over a year ago in reference to her wedding. She expressed to me that she had gotten a few proposals that were very expensive. I decided to extend a discounted price to her to help her out. I also had spoken with a few of the other vendors who had expressed she had been being a difficult client. Sometimes when people don't have knowledge of certain things, they blame other of their short comings. She had never put together an event of this magnitude. So, I assisted her. She and I never spoke about me needing a catering license. It's not required from all venues. I rent out commercial kitchen space to cook for my clients but I am not yet licensed and I'm not ashamed of it so I make sure to let clients know that up front It wasn't until 11 days before her wedding when I was made aware she needed one I'm the contract that she signed with Diamondz hall it stated that if her caterer did not have insurance that she was responsible for getting on her own A one day one Ms Artis did not tell me she had a shell fish allergy My assistant did make her plate however as soon as we knew it was on her plate It was immediately corrected Without her ever having to touch the first plate No one ever onsite mentioned to us anything about the beverages being to sweet and sending a diabetic home Ms ***** was supposed to have 80 guests We prepared food for 100 Only 35 people were in attendance and 33 of those people came up to us telling us how much they enjoyed everything So it was very shocking to me to receive this claim There is no law stating potatoes in potato salad have to be a certain size Nothing was too salty She told me she couldn't take a honey moon until next year due to Money issues So that's what I think this is about Everything she requested she had And she never contacted me personally after the wedding stating any of this either She texted me two times a week for a whole year otherwise Consumer Response /* (3000, 15, 2022/12/13) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) This is Mrs. *******. I am responding to the response from Dash Of Sage. I've read the company's true/untruth. I did go to school with young lady. After school we had no contact with each other until it was time for me to hire a caterer. I spoke with Ms. Ramos May 9,2022 @ 4:45 pm about her services, on May 9th 7:45 is when I spoke with Ms. Ramos over the phone explaining to her the situation. I also stated to her that I do have a food allergy to fish products. I specifically stated to Ms. Ramos that I cannot be around fish. I can't touch, smell it, nor eat it. I also stated to Ms. Ramos that the chicken and fish can't be cooked in the the same oil. Why wouldn't a person tell a food business that important info. I also started to Mrs. Ramos that my husband and I don't eat pork. Yes the guess we're supposed to be 50+ I didn't count the to see how many guests did come. I wanted to enjoy the day. Afterwards I was able to contact some pp ( they were sick with the flu/ Covid so they didn't come ( didn't want to spread germs) . Far as the taste of the food goes ppl told me that they DIDN'T LIKE the food. The string beans were to salty, the potatoe salad was to chunky, the Macaroni and cheese was to greasy, the Ice tea was too sweet, the chicken was dry/ it tasted old ( as in it was not freshly cooked) I did have a bridesmaid that had to leave because the ice tea was too sweet. She is a diabetic . My husband had to take my plate of food back because I wasn't able to eat it because there was fish on my plate. Mrs. Ramos has stated that other categories have said that I was hard to work with. Which is untrue. Consumer Response /* (3000, 17, 2022/12/13) */ Ms. Ramos states that I knew that she wasn't licensed which is not true. The entire time that Ms. Ramos was receiving payments from me. She never told me that she wasn't licensed. I told that in order to be in the establishment that you had to have a license. Eleven day prior to my wedding date I received a phone call asking if I was aware that Dash Of Sage was unlicensed. I had no no clue. I called Ms. Ramos and explained the situation and she stated to me that when she catered at The venue before that they didn't ask her for a license. When I called back to the venue I was told they never allow a company to serve food without a license. So by her not being licensed I had to get a one day event policy. Which was $101. Ms. Ramos came highly recommended by people who I know. I was highly disappointed in the outcome of this. I wish nothing but the best for Ms.Ramos, Business Response /* (4000, 19, 2022/12/14) */ I'm not sure how anything someone says is verbal and not written will ever be proven Who call's guests after a wedding asking about opinions of food I definitely wished in retrospect that I had video of my conversations with the guests My partner was with me and knows the truth I'm sure she wouldn't mind sharing her side If you contact Diamondz they can give their side of the story as far as having Ms ***** as a client Nothing was wrong with the food I assure you I have catered at Diamondz several times without a license They changed the policy after Covid If Ms ***** wished me the best she would not be attempting to tarnish my business after we did such a great job for her such a little price I'm speechless to say the least Consumer Response /* (4200, 21, 2022/12/14) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) Ms. Ramos states that I contacted ppl about food. That's not what I said. I said I contacted ppl to see why they didn't show because I was supposed to have 50+ guest ( they SICK with the flu/covid, and they didn't want to spread germs) . Ms. Ramos seemingly had time to count the guest, because she stated I only had 35 guest. I was never a hard client with other craters. I didn't even use there services. I called to enquire about prices. NOTHING was hard about that. I saw that Ms. Ramos grade rating was/is a D+ but I still used her services. I read the other compliant Ms. Ramos has.
