On February 5, 2024, Noxroy ******, Owner and Operator of Feels Like Home Restorations LLC began work agreed upon on February 4. 2024. I paid Mr. ****** a total of $1,250 (materials, ladder work, 3-4 days - took). Mr. ****** committed to providing the following services: Grind out bricks on the left and right of the addition, Remove the gutter, and inspect the fascia board. Repair if needed. Rehang the gutter and pitch the gutter. Point up the brick wall on the left and right. Trim vines off the property. A 3-year workmanship guarantee/ guarantee does not include vines. The nature of this dispute is Mr. ****** did not fulfill the contract in its entirety and used subpar materials not suited for the job, requiring the job to be done correctly. On 2/5 Mr. ****** was doing work at my home, there was also a gentleman doing roofing work. He advised me that Mr. ****** did not do the gutter work. He (Mr. *********) removed and rehung the gutter. Mr. ********* also informed me that the material being used to repoint the mortar joints was not the right material and that it would not work properly. On 3/1/23, not only was the “caulk” coming off the wall but it was found that the wall was not properly grinded and the material used was for cracks in mortar and not for rejointing mortar joints.
Before realizing the magnitude of the problem, on 2/6, I asked Mr. ****** to fix two walls in my house instead of doing the gutter work that he didn’t do. He immediately became defensive and made it a race issue stating if he was Mexican or white, I would not be asking him to do more work for free. When Mr. ****** refused the deal, I asked him to return $500 of my money. Once I realized this issue would not be resolved amicably and needed to be escalated professionally.
Mr. ****** was made aware of my intention to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. He told me to not contact him anymore.
