My husband and myself has been under contract with Marathon Capital since September 2023, it has been well over a year. We were told that it should only take about 4 months for our home improvement project. We signed the contract in September 2023, it took about 2 months before we received the blue prints and was told the permit was good. We are adding an addition to our house (extending the family room and on the 2nd floor adding a master bathroom and walk-in closet). Marathon broke ground in December of last year starting off with building the foundation (22 by 15). We knew that the winter months would be a problem because of the bad weather but was told by ****** Si-**** (project manager) that they should be finish before we get into the serious winter months ************ Of course, we know that didnt happen. We are now into another year and this project is still not finish. During the spring and summer months we had very little work done on our project. We wrote checks for work that still has not been done, we just got nothing but a lot of broken promises from ****** Si-****. ******* the spring and summer months, weeks went by and we had no work done at all on our home. We never had workers doing work 5 days a week on our house, if we got 4 days, it may have been 2 times since our project started. We asked ******, why, he cant get this project completed. His answer was I know you want results and would make us more broken promises. We have talk to the inspectors that has come out to inspect work and they didnt understand why the project is not finish. We talked to ****** on Friday 12/6 after the framing inspection was done and was told that the following week he will be rocking and rolling on Monday putting up Sheetrock and knocking down the wall to open up the family room. Yes, I know no Sheetrock has been done yet or the wall separation is still attached. I make calls to ****** (contractor), most of the time his voicemail is full. Help!
