Hello,I went to settlement on my first home on May 9th 2023. I went to my home this past Sunday, June 4th, to clean to prepare to move in. When I arrived at my newly purchased home, I began to clean the kitchen and thereafter, I went upstairs to begin cleaning the second floor bathroom, which consisted of running water in the tub and sink and well as flushing the toilet. When my cleaning was completed, I proceeded the the basement to do a visual check before I left for the evening. Once I arrived in the basement I noticed water covering the floor, in which turned out to be sewage water. I immediately reached out to acquaintances for help. I was helped by a contractor for a living and he came over with a commercial mop and bucket at cleaned the water. He also asked me to replay all that I did while I was in the house. After I explained what all occurred, I repeated to flush the toilet first while I was upstairs and he was in the basement, a discovery of a sewage leakage came immediately in the basement, behind the walls and behind the basement steps. After, the contractors discovery, he noticed black areas that were seen to be mold. He mentioned the drywall would need to be removed. At this time, I phoned my agent and he never mentioned to speak with my Home inspector as he was a referral by him. I emailed my agent and home inspector, which he says call my insurance company. My agent contacted the sellers agent and from there we were told they feel offended. I have yet to officially move in and no one will take accountability for this matter. I have photos that were taken as well. Please help,**** *******

      To Whom it may concern,

I performed the inspection on  ***************************************** on 5.7.23, all plumbing fixtures were operated fully as a normal part of the inspection process.
There was no leakage at the time of inspection. Obviously if there was it would be in the report.

Ms. ******* was present during the entire inspection as was her agent. They both observed me perform the inspection and point out any deficiencies as we proceeded.

Obviously if there was leakage during the inspection it would be in the inspection report.

A home inspection is a visual, non-invasive inspection.
A home inspection report reflects the condition of the property at that day and time only.

Sometime after the inspection Ms. ******* noticed the leakage and a damaged pipe was uncovered by a worker of hers.

Ms. ******* admits that the damaged pipe was concealed behind drywall.

She also stated that a person she had come to look at the issues thought the sellers purposefully concealed the damage.

Ms. ******* is trying to blame me for a hidden defect that did not manifest itself on the day of the inspection which is patently unfair of her.
