      Cove Property Management, operators of The Mount Royal apartment building in Baltimore have treated residents with negligence and disrespect, have inappropriately withheld resident security deposits and have failed to provide residents with basic security.

      We lived in the Mount Royal for 3 years. In the third year, our bicycles were stolen when the property managers failed to secure the exterior doors and bike room. Cove Management pledged to provide our renters' insurance company with a letter attesting to the theft, but later refused to do so.

      Upon move-out, Cove Management refused to return our $100 security deposit despite 3 years of on-time rent payment.

      The property manager refuses to respond to calls and emails, and we do not know what else to do but file this complaint.

      We recommend that prospective residents avoid renting from Cove Management in Baltimore.

      Emails were sent to the prior resident's roommate, ******** ***** on August 29 that contained an incident report for their insurance company, as well as emails to the residents regarding the theft which occurred on January 12, 2022. August was the first request of this information after their move out. With regard to the $99 security deposit + $3.33 interest, they owed final utilities of $72.22 plus a late fee of $86.75 for April rent late pmt on 4/12. We have waived the late fee as a one time courtesy after receipt of this complaint, and issued a refund of $30.11 to the prior residents. They would not have received a refund without the courtesy waiver of the late fee.
