      I have been calling the urology department for a month trying to get another prescription for my catheters. I have to self cath daily. The urology department is located at ********************************************************************************************************************. The phone number is ************. According to my insurance company the doctor that originally filled my prescription is no longer there so Id need a new prescription. The voicemail said to leave a message within normal business hours in which I have and a phone call will be returned in which it hasnt. No one never answers the phone at the front desk. I hope I am able to get this resolved in a timely manner so that I am able to empty the urine from my bladder daily.

It appears that this complaint was addressed to **** ******* but emailed to ***** ***********. Both of whom are in the **************************** for hospital *************************** Because this complaint is regarding direct patient care, this should be addressed to our Patient Advocacy team. Their telephone number is ************. I have reached out to them to obtain a best email contact and will reach back out to the BBB when I have received one. 

      If a patient has any billing related issues (or if you are unable to reach anyone in Patient Advocacy) please forward any complaints to our **************** email ******************* This mailbox is monitored many times throughout the day and by many team members. By sending to this address, it will ensure that the complaint will be directed to the correct entity and addressed in a timely manner. 

      Regarding Ms. ********* complaint, I have reached out to the clinic and spoke with a representative there. She was going to immediately reach out to the patient to schedule an appointment, as she has not been seen in their office since November 2021. I have also forwarded this complaint to the ************** so that they may update with more details and after speaking to the patient.

      I had a sonogram appointment at the university of maryland medical center (UMMC) OB department on November 11, 2022. The referral for only a Nuchal Translucency (NT) scan was to be conducted by University of MD and was sent over from my OB provider Dr. ****** ******** from ***** ************ ***** ***** ********. I contacted the hospital in regards to the bill that was in total of 1,429.23 stating that the bill that was submitted to my insurance was incorrect. They stated that they did not have the medical codes that they submitted and I had to contact my OBGYN and *****. The office supervisor Ms. Smith from ***** stated that there were additional scans conducted by UMMC that they were not authorized to conduct. I filed a complaint with UMMUC because they had no reason or medical right to conduct additional sonogram imaging scans without the consent of our OBGYN or myself and my partner. UMMC scheduled a sonogram again on January 15, 2023 without a medical referral or reason for scan and again failed to properly submit the medical claims to our insurance properly. We have not received adequate patient care from either facility and we are truly frustrated and appaled by a $1400 bill for services that were not medically instructed by our OBGYN at *****. UMMC needs to rectify and annulled from my account as this is medical malpractice for improper medical treatment.
