I had been seen on 2/27/2024 for a contact lens exam. I called ahead of time to check the price with my insurance and was told the exam was $138. I called my insurance to find out what was covered and learned that there should be no co-pay and clear lenses were also covered. When I was seen at my appointment, I was instructed to take out my contacts and place them in a dry container with no liquid. I read the wall chart and was sent back to the front area where I was asked to pay $79 for a contact lens fitting and an additional $70 or so more dollars for the lens. I explained the price information I was given to them as well as what my insurance said it covered. I refused to pay any additional money because I saw them once before and I paid out of pocket once at the ******** location, once at ********* location and again at the ******** location just to get one pair of lenses. I have been to another eye doctor and paid nothing out of pocket but had to return to ******** because it was closer. From what I see, it seems that they are taking medical assistance payments and making the patient pay out of pocket too. I made it home to find out part of my lens was broken off because it wasn't placed in any liquid. I made a 3-way call with them and my insurance on the phone and they claimed to be too busy to have someone answer to clear up the issue only to be transferred to a full answering machine and then hung up on. We called back and was asked for a number to call my insurance back on. There was no personal number for him, and he gave them the general number. I got my vision insurance to call back again on their own to address the issue and they agreed to reach back out to my insurance. I was told by the insurance to call them and file a grievance with them for the damaged contact lens and the price issue and I did. I was put on hold, sent to a full mailbox and disconnected again. I called back was put on hold again, I hung up and decided to file a complaint here.Initial Complaint

My full complaint in on my ******* video at **************************** The doctor and BBB can watch the entire video including the link to the reviews in the description. My eyes weren't dilated, there wasn't any allergy and dry eye test done on 8/7/23. I filed a complaint to ***************** insurance on 8/7/23 against Dr **** and waiting for them the mail me a copy of the complaint.Customer Answer

This is the ***************** ****************** chat confirming Dr **** lied to me about the insurance sending him a list of names of patients that don't get dilation and he lied about having me blacklisted from using my insurance with any other doctors.Customer Answer

Here's another ******* video recording of the phone call on 8/11/23 from Sanaga ******** to pick up the eye glasses I was fitted for on 7/24/23 **************************** They're so unprofessional that they called me ******* **** instead of ******* ***** and called me 4 days after I came there on 8/7/23. I believe that is intentionally done instead of having the eye dilation included in the first eye exam on 7/24/23. The eye glasses should've been ready on 8/7/23 so I wouldn't have to return back to pick up the glasses. This doctor should mail me the eye glasses by ***** or *** with my signature required because I'm not going back up there in person after he lied to me about the dilation list and blacklisting me. I have the confirmation appointment email for 7/24/23 from Dr ***** I want to make sure this eye doctor stop charging my insurance and I want to make sure he only charged *************************** for ONE visit instead of 2 visits because the dilation should've been done on 7/24/23 as one complete eye exam. I agree 100% with what the reviews dated March 9, 2023 says against Dr **** at ******************************************************************************** and I put my own review on the same page on 8/8/23. The March 9, 2023 review states( Dr **** told me in the exam room on 8/7/23 he didn't care about the reviews) Staff 1

As my daughter would call them... Professional Ghetto. My appointment was 1:40. It was 3:00 before I saw the doctor ****** appointment was 1:30, he saw him after me. When i finally did see him he asked me all the same questions he asked two weeks ago when I was here, then he dilated my eyes and told me I had to wait ***** more minutes. The waiting area lacks sufficient seating, and it's very hard to hear the office staff. Between the outside noise from the Mall and the loud speaking clientele inside it's useless. I chose this location to try and support black owned and operated businesses but never again. I was there past 4 pm for a 1:30 appointment. When I said something about it of course the excuse was Covid. I told him every one wants to blame Covid. The real problem is you over booked so you have twice as many people as you & ;your staff can handle. He wants me to come back in 3 months to be reevaluated. I don't think so. I'm contacting my insurance company because I think he's trying to manipulate the system so as to get a larger payment. I've never been thru all this before for a simple eye exam. 2 weeks ago when we were here he said **** had signs of Glaucoma and he needed treatment asap, this was the primary reason we were back today. HOWEVER, because **** also commented about being there over 3 hours he got angry & refused to prescribe the treatment he so badly needed 2 weeks ago?? He said we had bad spiritsCustomer Answer

This is the appeal to the *** resolution section of the complaint the eye doctor office manager wrote, we weren't told we must reschedule after we waited 3 hours from 11 am to 2 pm and the doctor beckoned me to the exam room like a dog not calling my name, The appointment was for 11:30am and I was told by the front desk lady that she'd put my appointment up early. My husband was there at 10:30am and I got there at 11am so the doctor should've seen me on time at 11:30am instead we waited 11:30am to 12;30pm before I asked permission to go get lunch and use the restroom(there's restroom in the doctor office they don't allow patients to use) and we were told we could leave and we were only gone 20 minutes and came back and was told my name was called and we waited in the waiting area AGAIN. This doctor needs to be investigated, needs to loose his license, and the place needs to be shut down altogether. He overbooks the appointments so there were patients waiting in the mall in front of the office to be seen. The reviews on this link explains exactly the horrible unprofessional unethical experience ******************************************************************************** This doctor needs someone to record him secretly by audio and video tape to catch him harassing and abusing patients, catch him overcharging insurance.Customer Answer

My husband came there twice on 8/22/23 and on 9/22/23, they gave him the wrong eye glasses on 9/22/23 with the wrong frames, I'm not sure if they're the right prescription bifocal glasses, I did contact *************************** to let them know what happened to amend it to their complaint I filed with ***. The *********************** complaint is still pending.
