      I am writing to address concerns regarding recent street paving and milling operations on ************ and ************ in ********, ********, on March 5, 2024. Around 11:00 am, I met with ***** ******* of Whitman ******************************************** **********************************************************************, and ***** *****, Senior Construction Inspector at Whitman ******************************************** to discuss these matters, initiated by City Engineer ***** ********, to discuss these matters.Despite introducing myself professionally, I encountered defensive responses and insensitivity. The lack of 24-hour notice for street paving/milling created avoidable challenges for residents, businesses, and medical providers. Comments from ***** such as "Do you just not want to have your street paved?" were unprofessional. Further ***** noted that my questions and sharing my concerns made him feel "attacked" and was a question of his field knowledge. I eventually requested he vacated my property due to his aggressive temperament. Based on preliminary research, there is concern various policies, ordinances, and code of conduct were not followed by the contractor (***********************) as expected by the City of *******************************. Further the decorum exhibited by both employees of *** were concerning and further exacerbated the situation. We expect these matters to be promptly and thoroughly investigated and addressed. We insist that improvements be carried out with the highest quality, professionalism, and integrity possible.Should this matter not be resolved, we are prepared to utilize all available resources to ensure necessary actions are taken. Thank you for your attention to this matter. We look forward to a prompt resolution.
