    Shady billing practices!!! When my son initially started at Gladstone we had only one insurance plan which was high deductible. Upon an employment change, he was covered under a secondary plan which was also in-network with Gladstone and would require us to only pay a co-pay rather than the full visit cost. Gladstone refused to bill my secondary coverage despite having an in-network contract with the insurer. I submitted the claim to the secondary insurance myself as I was told to do. The secondary insurer sent the payment to Gladstone after Gladstone had already charged me for the full visit. Gladstone kept my payment and the insurer's payment (double payment for visit) and refused to issue refund for months. Their billing manager is frequently out of office and does not respond for weeks at a time. My secondary insurer was asked to send proof of payment 3 times before Gladstone would issue the refund for collecting double payment for the visit. They continue to have billing issues with no one that can effectively solve any problems. I was told today that they are months behind in their billing and payment collection. It is difficult to get appointments for a child psychologist, so I do not feel I have the option to switch, but I want others to be aware of the shady billing practices in this office. I have read similar complaints from others and therefore have concluded this is an ongoing pervasive issue at Gladstone which borders on insurance fraud and breach of agreement with insurer.
