On September 14th, 2024 I went in to this business with a group of friends just for fun.****** picked me out right away and I had a card reading. She ask me many questions, if I was married, about my health. She kept saying forgive me for what I am about to say. She knew I had been having Chemo since April and I had just had a treatment Sept 9th. She used this and put immediate fear into me and said something evil is attached to me and I need her to get this spirit off of me. I was scared. She said it is trying to bring me to my knees with a tragedy by the end of the year. I had told her I had 4 children and 7 grandchildren. She said she need $400 because she had to meditate all night to see what she needed to do.I was scared, She made it so real, she said it was urgent I come back the next day. I did. She increased the fear, said she was up all night and she was exhausted. She said this will take so much work from her and she will need more money. She said I will need to come back twice a week. I was her priority now. I nervously sent her daughter ******* and ****** $500 She knew I also was having trouble with my heart. She had me send her all my children.s pictures, grandchildrens, all my doctor appts, and girlfriends pics. She had me fast ...which I became extremely ill. I told her I had no energy to drive to her. She actually drove to meet me after a doc appt....more fear tactics, told me we were going to have to buy a tabernacle to put the Spirit in. She also said she talked to my brother who was deceased, and he was worried about **** was not allowed to repeat any of this or it would only make the spirit stronger.I finally woke up and realized she was extorting me when she said she would drive to my house. This was all in one week's time. I know this sounds crazy but she used my illness and vulnerability to steal from me. I need help and I do not want others to be put through this. She had me very sick and extorted me.Please help.Business Response

Better Business Bureau
Dear ************************ name is ****** ******. I am the owner and operator of Fells Point Psychic and have been in this role for over 15 years. This is the first time that any of my clients have filed a complaint regarding my professional services with the Better Business Bureau.
In many respects, my work is similar to that of a psychologist or social worker who provides talk therapy to their clients in an effort to help alleviate their depression and negative thoughts. I would like to add that the complainant in this matter was fully aware of the nature of my work, and she entered into a business relationship with me on a completely voluntary basis.
In response to the complaint that was filed, the following are my remarks:
Answers to dispute from Fells Point psychic
As stated by the customer, she came into our establishment on September 14, 2024, with a group of friends just for fun. However, it is crucial to point out that ****** did not pick her out for a reading. ****** conducted readings for the entire group, and no one was singled out.
Here are the facts regarding the customers claims:
Claim of Questions Asked: The customer claims that ****** asked her many personal questions during the reading. This is incorrect. At Fells Point Psychic, it is the psychic who provides the reading. Clients are welcome to ask questions at the end, but it is not standard practice for the psychic to ask questions during the reading.
Medical Information: The customer voluntarily shared that she had been undergoing chemotherapy. ****** never used this information to instill fear. Instead, she suggested that meditation might help alleviate the customers stress. ****** emphasized the importance of following medical advice and never implied that the illness was tied to an evil spirit. Angelas words about positivity in challenging times were meant to uplift, not frighten.
The $400 Charge: The customer alleges that ****** asked for $400 to meditate all night, which is false. ****** did charge $400 for meditation services, but the process typically spans 24 to 48 hours. It was made clear that the client would return to discuss the results of the meditation. Any fear the customer felt was not induced by ****** but likely stemmed from her existing health concerns.
Payments of $3,000 and $500: The customer claims that ****** demanded $3,000 and $500. In reality, the customer asked if there was a way to pay without using a credit card for the larger amount. Since ****** does not use *****, the customer sent the payment to ********************************************* Psychics associate, Georgia, who handled the transaction. These payments were for ongoing spiritual assistance, including meditation, spiritual stones, candles, and other materials provided to help the client.
Request for Photos and Medical Information:The customer voluntarily sent pictures of her children and grandchildren, as well as information about her doctors and health. ****** did not request this. The customer asked ****** to pray and meditate over her family and provided these details of her own accord.
Fasting: The customer claims ****** instructed her to fast, which led to illness. This is untrue. ****** only mentioned that she herself would be fasting while praying and meditating for the customer. At no ********************** did ****** instruct the customer to fast.
Meeting After Doctors Appointment:****** did meet with the customer after one of her doctor *****************************, not as a fear tactic but as a continuation of the spiritual guidance. Angelas services include meditation, travel, and availability, which was part of the $3,900 the customer paid for. There was no coercion or intimidation involved.
Tabernacle and Deceased Brother: The customer claims ****** advised her to purchase a tabernacle and mentioned speaking to her deceased brother. ****** merely suggested that a tabernacle might be a useful tool for meditation at home, given the customers health and difficulty traveling. ****** never made any definitive claims about the customers deceased brother but shared thoughts that could comfort her spiritually.
In conclusion, there was no extortion or malice on Angelas part. The customer paid for services willingly and participated fully. Fells Point Psychic takes these accusations seriously but firmly disputes the characterization of these events.
****** ******* Disputed Response
As reflected in the customers statement, the events described are not an accurate representation of what took place. Below is the truth of the situation, clarified point by point:
Group Reading: The customer attended the reading with a group of friends, and ****** conducted readings for the entire group. No one was singled out for any special treatment.
Medical Condition: The customer disclosed her medical history during the reading. Angelas response was one of compassion, suggesting meditation as a way to cope with the stress of her treatment. ****** did not link the customers illness to any evil spirit.
Fear Tactics Allegation: The customer claims that ****** used fear tactics by mentioning an evil spirit. This is false. ****** provided spiritual guidance and encouraged the customer to remain positive despite her health challenges. Any fear the customer felt was her own, and ****** was trying to help her through it.
Payment and Meditations: The customer chose to pay for meditation services, which were clearly explained as a 24 to 48-hour process. ****** never said she would meditate all night, nor did she increase the customers fear. Payments of $3,000 and $500 were made for ongoing spiritual support, including materials like spiritual stones and candles.
Request for Photos: The customer voluntarily provided photos of her family and friends, asking ****** to pray for them. ****** did not ask for these and did not request any medical information beyond what the customer chose to share.
Fasting: ****** never told the customer to fast. ****** herself was fasting during her prayers, but she did not impose this on the client.
Meeting After Doctors Appointment:Angelas decision to meet the customer after her doctors **************************** was part of the agreed-upon spiritual services. This was not done to frighten her but as a continuation of the meditation and support ****** had promised.
Tabernacle Suggestion and Deceased Brother:****** suggested a tabernacle for convenience, given the customers difficulty traveling. It was not purchased, and ****** did not manipulate the situation by speaking definitively about the customers deceased brother. The intention was to provide comfort, not fear.
In summary, the customers claims do not accurately reflect the events that took place. ****** and Fells Point Psychic provided the services requested in good faith and maintain that no wrongdoing occurred.
Sincerely,
****** ******

I am rejecting this response because: None of the accounts that she described are close to the truth. One correct part was I did do everything she said. I was engulfed with darkness and fear. ****** saying she spoke with my brother and he was worried about me woke me up from this state. I am speaking the truth so that no one else will go through this.
Sincerely,

In Response
****** has no certificates that she is either a social worker or a psychologist. I was not depressed or negative. I was on a girl's weekend and very happy.
She did ask me personal questions, the first one was if I was married, followed by my health, then family.
She pulled cards, told me an evil entity was on me from high school, a tragedy would happen to one of my children by the end of the year. Her quote was, "They are trying to bring you to your knees with your health and your children."
She requested all of their photos with birthdates so she could meditate over them. She also asked for all of my doctors and appts.
She did instruct me to fast and pray and meditate. Told me to say the Our Father every day She gave me certain colors of food to eat. That is when I got extremely sick.
Her fee was to get rid of this evil and she had no idea how much time and money it would take. She charged me $400 (paid by *****) for a 24 mediation.
She then had me Zelle 500 and Venmo her ************** because if you charge ********, there would be a percentage on it.
The Tabernacle was to put an evil spirit in, not to meditate with.
She knew my brother was deceased because she wanted all of my family information. She did say he spoke to her and was very worried about me.
****** is correct with one thing; I did participate willingly for fear I would lose a member of my family by year end (which was in her words).
She damaged my health, mind and my finances. I am asking for a full refund of 3965.00
Truthfully,
**** *****

Dear better Business Bureau
Complaint number 22368671
This letter is in response to the complaint filed by **** *****. A postal letter was sent to the complainant on October 14, 2024, requesting that she speak with me concerning her issue. The complainant did not respond to my letter.
Instead of responding, the complainant continued to file with the BBB, listing a barrage of issues that did not satisfy her.
I responded to the complaints initial filing on or about October 16, 2024. Undaunted, the complainant followed up with a second complaint that does little more than parrot her initial one.
My answer remains unchanged, and please keep in mind that the complainant stated, ****** is correct with one thing; I did participate willingly.
I am afraid that I have nothing more to say.
Sincerely,
****** ******
