    I paid Jason from Belvedere tax group to prepare and file taxes and he never submitted three of years causing thousands of dollars in penalties And late fees. Jason refused to submit my taxes and refused to refund me even after acknowledging they were never submitted. Five other customers that I’m aware of have had the same experience.

    Sorry to see you were not happy. However, we cannot take responsibility for penalties that were caused by a customer's inactions. The returns in question were already delinquent when we engaged Ms. *******. Further, copies of all returns were provided long ago. Some of which could only be paper filed due to being so old. We informed Ms. ******* she needed to sign and mail the return. She openly refused to mail the completed tax returns herself.  Ms. ******* fails to understand we cannot file anything without her live signature despite repeated advice.  Being that she lives in another state she needs to complete the process herself.

    I am rejecting this response because:


     I was made aware for the first time this year September 14, 2024 of the signature requirement. Jason has filed multiple other years to tax agencies without my signature. Had I known I needed to sign the returns I would’ve went to a local tax prep office but I trusted Jason bc he was a friend of the family. I’ve submitted text messages where Jason assures me he’d file last February and again last month and never did to this day. Also attached are receipts of payment for Jason’s services. The 2018 taxes were not delinquent over three years when I paid to file. It became delinquent due to Jason not filing when he promised. Jason has a history of not filing other customers taxes as well if you read his reviews on any platform. This is a breach of contract considering Jason was paid to prepare and file my taxes.
