I placed two orders on 4/11 and 4/18 for my DSST transcript through Parchment portal. These two orders, document number ******** and ********, are still with Prometric for almost 2 weeks and have still not been sent until now. I have called DSST customer service phone# 1-877-******** and emailed dozens of times trying to get this issue resolved, but my transcript for the DSST exam has still not been sent over to New York state education department. The only response I got was they were having technical issues and they were unsure why my orders have not been completed yet. No luck getting anyone who can actually resolve the issue. I need to send the transcript to the state education department to apply for my license, so this transcript is very important to me. Please get someone who has the knowledge to fix the issue and process my orders immediately.

On 2/14/2023 I scheduled my life insurance test with Prometric at their next available appointment which was 2 months away on 4/17. Every day I logged onto their system looking for a cancelation. On 3/3 I found an opening for 3/23 which I rescheduled for. On 3/13 I received and email that my appointment was canceled and,
"Please be assured we are working diligently to complete this update as quickly as possible. Once completed, you will receive a follow-up communication to assist you in taking the next step with your appointment."
The next day I received an email with,
"To reschedule your appointment at no charge, please contact our Registration & Scheduling department. Contact details can be found at ******************************************************************* ******* ****** **** **** ******* ** **** **** ****)."
I called the Prometric phone number and the computer who answered the call said to go to prometeric.com to schedule. I logged in and the system confirmed I still have an appointment for 3/23 after a long hold for a human I was told the website was incorrect (see attached print screen from today 4/17) and the next available appointment was tomorrow which I cannot make for religious reasons. Or it would be another month. I asked for a supervisor and was refused a supervisor I asked for the the phone number for the corporate office and was told they did not have that. I find that hard to believe.
Prometric is a monopoly and my only choice to take the test to get my Arizona life insurance license. Their are 2 other Prometric locations in the metro Phoenix area. They have the power to accommodate me.

I rescheduled at place that is an extra 25 miles away and at a time that is not convenient.  I chose the best of the bad options available.  I has to spend much time on the phone mostly holding to get this appointment   Prometric made to attempt to contact me regarding this.  Can somebody form the Prometric corporate office call me?  ************ ** ************

Something is wrong. They are a national testing company. Police officers take their test, nurses, and mechanics. We only have one testing center within an hour of us. The testing center has not been able to login to prometric, or get a hold of anyone at Prometric to resolve the issue. ASE, the test that we need to take, told us to contact prometric. I sent them an email on March 8th, it said they would get back to me within three business days. Zero response. I've called every phone number Under the Sun and the phone rings for more than 15 minutes. There is no customer service.

So we have this test that we paid for, and we'll have to drive more than an hour away after already missing 3 days of work at the local place, not being able to get in. ***** at ******* ****** ****** in kennewick is thw last who is supposed to administer tests locally.

My concern is there is no way to resolve any issues and its giving a me shell company vibes.

On 1/12/23 after taking another DSST exam (Personal Finance) I asked the person (******* ****) at the DSST testing site in Columbia Mo if I could think of my own topic on the 2nd part of the Principles in Public Speaking test and she said “yes”. I then called on 1/19/23 and was told the same thing by *******. I called a final time on 2/3/23 to schedule my Public Speaking test and once again asked her if this was the case and again she said “yes”. I took the test (Public Speaking) on 2/10/23 and I completed part 2 as I had been instructed. I passed the 1st part with a 441 score (400 minimum to pass). I then called DSST on the same day and verified that I could choose my own topic and on 2/13/23 I received a email response back from JN / DSST Department saying-“Public Speaking Exam Topic is by the choice of the candidate.” I did everything I was supposed to do on the test. I went between 3-5 minutes (3 minutes and 3 seconds), gave good Structure/Organization, Delivery, Content/Supporting Material and made it Persuasive. I then got an email on 2/21/23 saying-“Your overall score is a FAIL. You passed the multiple-choice part, You failed the speech part." I did a good job and I deserve a PASS grade. I then sent an email asking why I failed. I got a response back from JN / DSST Department saying-“We informed our Upper Mangement about this issue. We provided them with your contact information so you may be recieving a call from them. As soon as they notify us we will email you with what they advise. Thank you so much for your patience and understanding!" On 2/23/23 I recieved an email from JN / DSST Department saying-"Thank you for contacting DSST Prometric. We appreciate your interest in the DSST program and apologize for any delays. Your exam is currently being rerated due to some technical issue with how it was originally scored. Once it is done you should receieve an email with your score. I still haven't heard anything so on 3/9/23 I emailed them again asking for an update. The JN / DSST Department emailed back again saying-"We've reached back out to upper management to see why this hasn't been taken care of yet." I have called there customer service phone# 1-877-471-9860 and keep getting hung up on or put on hold or get the run around. No one will call me back and no one will give me any info. This is a very unethical company and they deceive people on the 2nd part of the exam by not giving any more info than they have to. The only thing it says is "Part 2 requires the test taker to record an impromptu persuasive speech that will be
scored by human raters." They need to give me a passing grade as I earned it and stop decieving people and work on their customer service.

Thank you for bringing this exam candidate's concerns to Prometric's attention.

The candidate filed a complaint regarding a re-evaluation of their exam. From our review we determined the score the candidate received
was in fact reported correctly and all scoring procedures used for the
examination were correct as well; however, due to the confusion regarding the
information the candidate believed he received a retake was granted. The
candidate has been advised of this decision and we are simply waiting for his
      response.

I applied to take the licensure exam for the VA life health and annuities remotely and the program consistently kicked me out several times. And after being transferred several times, trying to reschedule, I was told I had to wait 24-48 hours to reschedule and pay a FEE to take the exam. I didn’t even get to take the exam because prometrics app did not work! And I have to pay $35 to reschedule and I have to wait to reschedule! It is not my fault that I could not take the exam when my computer checked out fine! I demand to be rescheduled at no cost to me in a timely manner!

Today, for the first time, I was asked to put blankets over a powered-off television mounted to a wall in my office, which I could not view without leaving my workstation entirely. During my prior two exams, having the television off was sufficient. Additionally, I was asked to put a blanket over the second monitor attached to the desktop I used to take the exam, even though the Prometrics software disables additional monitors, rendering this a non-issue (the monitor was disabled and not able to display a picture at the time I was asked to cover it).

I was asked to remove a small piece of decorative driftwood from near my workstation, show them the underside of speakers, discuss the manufacturing label of my office chair, move an oil lantern from the area, and completely move numerous décor items from the surface of a fireplace in my office, nowhere near the desk I used to take the exam, which took me several minutes. I was banned from using my noise-canceling over-ear headset, even though similar headphones are used in in-person exams, even though I was using the microphone attached to that headset to speak to the proctor, and even though I had used these headphones in the prior two exam administrations. I was asked to remove the external webcam of my opposing desk (which I use for work), and to block those monitors, even though the respective computer was off and in a different area of the room, not visible to me. The screener even had an issue with a paperweight I had on my desk shaped like a small anchor. I was asked to move my cell phone into a different room (on prior administrations, I was able to power off the phone and put it on a surface other than my workstations). Because I was taking so long to adhere to the screener's hitherto unknown requirements, I was asked to leave and sign back on.

The proctors are completely inconsistent and have no knowledge of the Environmental Requirements governing workstations. See attached for full complaint.

I am a college student who is needing to take the dental entrance exam through Prometric. This exam, according to the ******** ****** ***********, should be administered year-round. I scheduled my exam for March 14th in the Lubbock location. Later I find out that the testing center is permanently closed without any action from Prometric. I am forced to pay the $40 reschedule fee for a testing center in Dallas on a date that I cannot meet since its during midterms. So, Ultimately I cancelled my testing appointment and payed another $40 fee. The biggest issue I am facing is the lack of communication. They only have an email that I can send inquiries to and have sent multiple but have recieved nothing back. Not one response. It seems like this company is having me pay fees for issues on their end without any accountability. I am forced to delay my dental application another year due to their mismangement. Prometric is also charging a cancellation fee almost double what their terms and conditions state in their emails. I rescheduled my test almost two months prior which should have been $25 but they charged $40, both times. This behavior is especially predatory since it is targeted towards college students who are forced to go through their company without any other choice. It is looking a lot more like fraud the more I interact with this company.

      Business Response

Thank you for bringing this exam candidate's
      concerns to Prometric's attention.

The candidate filed an appeal regarding their cancellation
and reschedule fees and has requested a refund. The cancel/reschedule fees for
the *** program are as follows:

      Category Cancellation/Reschedule
      Period Cancellation/Rescheduling
      Fee
1 30 or more days before
test date $40 (to be collected
by Prometric from the Candidate and retained by Prometric)
      2 5-29 day before
      scheduled test date $70 per
cancellation/reschedule (to be collected by Prometric from the Candidate),
      with $30.00 remitted to Client.
      3 1-4 days before
      scheduled test date $150.00 per
cancellation/reschedule (to be collected by Prometric from the Candidate),
      with $50 remitted to Client.
4 a) fails to appear for
a scheduled test, or b) presents himself/herself more than 30 minutes after
the scheduled start time for taking the test and is refused admission The full test delivery
fee for the cancelled/rescheduled test which Prometric shall invoice to ***
      (per section 15.2)

The cancellation and reschedule were all done by the candidate
online, so by policy there is no grounds for reimbursement. As a one-time
courtesy we are granting a refund of both the cancel and reschedule fee. Again,
this is being done simply as an act of goodwill.

On 2 separate occasions they broke a scheduled certification exam without prior notice nor even providing notice when they were aware of the issue. After being left in their testing environment for hours I was only able to find out what the issue was upon reaching out to them and being left on hold for over an hour on both occasions.
The test was very time sensitive and I took time off from work only to have them break contract twice without prior notice. Also they lied about their availability. I called their customer care line twice during their hours of operation and got a recording stating they were closed and to call within the time frame I was calling (6 pm eastern on one day, they close at 8 and 4 pm eastern on a Saturday, they are supposedly open till 5). This company does not deserve a rank of A+ given this routine incompetence and fraudulent behavior

I paid and confirmed a scheduled exam that was suppose to take place on 02-13-2023 at 1230 at the Daytona Beach testing center. After confirming the testing site and time on 02-10-2023, I purposely drove 4 1/2 hours from Cape Coral to Daytona Beach where I paid for residence accommodations and took 2 personnel days off from my employer (*******) so the test can be taken without interference. On Sunday, 02-12-23 I received a email at 1800, 2000 and 2100 hours advising me that the test was being cancelled. I called Prometric numerous times without being able to reach anyone to confirm. As stated on the Prometric site, that cancellations will not be made without 24 hour notice which clearly this did not happen. This cancellation which I paid $476.30 was for 2 test exams with the anticipation of the 1st test occurring on 02-13-23 and the 2nd having to be completed by 05-29-2023. This cancelation now forces me to wait 1 month to take the 1st test again and leaves me only 2 months to prep for 2nd exam. I tried to extend my notice to schedule but was unsuccessful in reaching anyone. I am also aware that I would have to pay more money to extend my notice to schedule which I feel is unfear since the scheduled 1st test cancellation is not fault of my own doing. If anything It cost me a great deal of money to even make preparation to take the first exam without any consideration of compensation. If anything Prometric has a strict cancellation policy in regards to customers cancelling a test exam but does not follow there own policy if they are the fault of a cancelation. I feel if they can charge a fee or easy forfeit a fee for canceling within 24 hours then we should have the same rights to charge them for there lack of following their own policy.

      RESCHEDULE / CANCEL POLICY
After you have made an appointment for an examination section you may find it necessary to change or cancel an appointment. Be aware that you may be required to pay a reschedule fee or forfeit your examination fees, depending on when you notify Prometric of the change or cancellation. Changes made 5 to 29 days before your appointment will be assessed a $35 fee. Changes made 4 days and up to 24 hrs before the appointment date (based on local time for the testing center) will be assessed $84.84. Note: Any changes made 24 hours or less prior to your appointment will forfeit your fees and you will need to reapply to your board of accountancy or its designated agency. Please see your Candidate Bulletin for more information.

I find it unfair for a business to require a candidate to provide monetary compensation for unforeseen changes on an exam during a specified timeframe; however, the business doesn't provide that same compensation to candidates for their exam changes. I will attach a snippet from my appointment confirmation email stating the monetary fees associated with changes that are charged against a candidate. I would like to note that it states, "changes made 24 hours or less prior to your appointment will forfeit your
fees and you will need to reapply to your board of accountancy or its
designated agency." The price of reapplying is the price of a new "Notice to Schedule" which is $238.15.

I have used two of my Personal Time Off at work for the cancelled exam, which I will not get back and will have to use more Personal Time Off for my next rescheduled exam. A full eight hour day of pay for me at a rate of $33.173077 equals about $265.38 a day and two days equals out to about $530.77. I have wasted my Personal Time Off from work, gas, and especially my own time since the drive to the testing center was a four hour excursion to get there.

I hope we can come to a fair resolution.

      Sincerely,

      ******** **

Thank you for bringing this exam candidate's concerns to Prometric's attention.

As previously stated, the exam was rescheduled at no additional charge, and we offered the candidate a reimbursement for the fee associated with extending their "Notice to Schedule" as the candidates' initial complaint stated:

"I tried to extend my notice to schedule but was unsuccessful in reaching anyone. I am also aware that I would have to pay more money to extend my notice to schedule which I feel is unfear since the scheduled 1st test cancellation is not fault of my own doing."

Due to the above statement, we felt it unfair for the candidate to be held financially responsible for extending the eligibility and were willing to cover the cost in the event ***** did not.

Unfortunately, there is no fee for Prometric to refund and Prometric does not reimburse for lost wages.

We thank you for the opportunity to review and respond to this candidate's concerns.

I mailed in 25$ for a CNA license renewal. They said I needed an RN to sign it so I remailed it and they still have not renewed my license. I have a receipt from Post Office of when I mailed it. My supervisor called them, and they told her they did not have it. I almost lost my job because of this company. I have been given 90 days by my employer to figure this out. This is not the first time I have had problems with them. They take your money and then lose your application.
