    Our company has been doing business with Ace Uniform Services for over 15 years. Our last contract was a 5 year contract. We had told our sales *** that we wanted to end the contract when it was over. He said he was removing the auto-renewal. That request was not taken care of or honored and they auto-renewed our contract for another 5 years with absolutely no notice that the contract was renewing. The fact that we got absolutely no notice of the contract renewal so that we could terminate it before it renewed is extremely dishonest business practice. They are now saying we owe them $6000 to get out of a contract that we had terminated.

    We appreciate the Customers longstanding relationship with Ace Uniform, spanning more than 15 years. Our records show that this Customer first signed a ******, auto-renewing contract with us in 2007, which has been renewed in line with standard industry practices since then. Like nearly all textile rental companies nationwide, we use a 5-year,auto-renewing, industry-standard contract that includes a clearly defined termination clause allowing either party to end the contract with at least 90 days written notice before the end of a term.
    This termination clause has been consistently included in all agreements with this (and all) Customers over the years. The Complainant last renewed her agreement with us in 2018, and as of the most recent term renewal in 2023, no written notice to terminate was received.
    Our business model requires ongoing investment in products and services for each customer, and thus, our contracts include provisions to cover damages if terminated early outside of contract terms. We believe this approach protects both parties fairly.
    Ace Uniform values this Customers loyalty and positive evaluations over the years, and our Service Manager has actively sought to reach a mutually satisfactory resolution. We remain open to continued discussions with the Complainant to try to do so.
