    1/3/2023 - I made an appointment with Floodbusters Basement and met with Mark, the salesman for Floodbusters to look my basement water issue. Mark explained to me what his company could do to repair the issue. Mark provided me with a proposal for job that would cost $4,610.00. I gave Mark a check in the amount of $1,400 for the deposit. 1/4/2023, I called Floodbusters and explained to Rick I had issues with this job and that I wanted to change the job. Rick came to my residence and explained what they could the job do for an additional $11,840.00. The total price for the job would be $16,000. I explained to Rick I was not in agreement with the price change, and I did not want to go through with the job. Rick told me he would put the job on hold. I spoke to Rick and ask for my deposit back, but he told me he cashed my deposit and ignored my request to not do the job. I drove to Floodbusters to pick up a check for $1,400.00. A man from the company gave me a check for $1,400.0 from their company checking account, however the check was dated Jan 9, 2022. The checking account had no money in the account. I would like to get my deposit of $1,400.00 back. This company is not professional. It is not a reputable company. I would not recommend anyone doing any business with this company. Rick and Craig are the owners of the company. The outside of this company is shabby. The building and lot for Floodbusters Basement appears to be closed and not in business.
