Dropped off our vehicle, 2014 Jeep Wrangler, at API Service on 7/15/2024 for engine oil leak. Employee named "*****" diagnosed as a rear main seal (crank shaft seal) leak. Work was completed and Invoice ***** was fully paid on 7/26/2024 in the amount of $1,157.34. Invoice clearly states "All repairs will be warranteed for a period of 12 months or ***** miles, whichever comes first." We quickly realized engine oil was still leaking and the problem was not fixed, ***** advised it was most likely residual oil that was leaking and it needed to work its way out. ***** advised the business was closed for 2 weeks for renovations but to let him know if the problem persists. ***** was contacted again on 8/12/2024 and told the Jeep was still leaking oil. ***** advised the shop had not reopened and to give him until 8/22/2024. ***** was contacted again on 8/26/2024 to see if the shop had reopened and advised the **** was still leaking oil. ***** advised the shop was still not open and he would arrange for the Jeep to be picked up and brought to another shop by the end of the week. As of 9/12/2024, nobody from API ever contacted us to arrange pick up. We were forced to bring our vehicle to ******************* Jeep in Bel Air who correctly fixed the rear main seal leak for the a price of $1,888.15. API in ******* is still not open and it appears that no renovations have been completed since their "temporary closure" for renovations.
