6/11/24, G. drove his truck to Level Automotive to have it looked at. 6/12/24, Bill said the lifters & camshaft needed replacing. It would cost $2800.00 & he needed $1500.00 up front for parts. I asked for an estimate for the parts & work & Bill said he has it all written down there. I asked if we should get a new motor & Bill said no, the truck was in good shape. We were told it was a 15 hour job. For 3 1/2 months we were told numerous reasons why it was not done, from metal shavings in the oil he couldn't fix, modules not programmed properly or burned out, parts were not the right size, pistons were damaged & GM was comping us a new bottom part of the engine, the truck's computer was shipped to Tennessee 3 times for programming (this was never approved), defective lifter from GM & numerous other excuses. At least 30 times we were told the truck would be done today. The excuses were not making since & on 9/20/24 when I asked for paperwork to see what all had been done, Bill yelled at me, "he does not do paperwork". I asked for a name of the GM person he was dealing with & he said there had been 5 of them but refused to give me names or numbers. I asked for part names/numbers of what he was still trying to fix & he would not give me anything, just talked in circles, yelling at me & then hanging up. So we went to the shop on 9/20 to have the truck towed, because he would not provide any info to verify any work had been done. Bill convinced us to give him until 9/24/24 to have it done (current excuse was the computer module). (A mechanic did start our truck while we were there, so it was together on 9/20/24). 9/24/24 Bill said the original lifter was bad & the truck would not be done & he would not put it back together for us to tow, as he agreed to. 9/26/24 Bill ended a call w/ "F OFF" & hung up, so afraid Bill would destroy our truck we went there to have it towed. It was too late, our truck was now in pieces. No new parts & nothing looked worked on.

Hi, Attached is a screenshot of the estimate email from Brian at Anderson In Abingdon, MD. I did ask if they could get me a paper form to send also. I  will forward it if received. If you have any questions please call.

We were also made aware that the phone for Level Automotive,  ###-###-#### has been disconnected.  Level Automotive current address is 735 W Bel Air Ave, Aberdeen MD 21001. We were dealing with Bill and we did not have a last name. But I did a search in found the name Bill ******.

Also, I have more details typed up in a word document,  if you would like it. I had to really abbreviate the story on the complaint form.

    Thank you, ****** *******

11/2/23 2009 jeep wrangler jk taken to this business with motor noise and engine light on. Was told that the engine was blown and given a quote of $3750 to rebuild the engine. Paid $2000 up front. Expectation of return of vehicle was no more than two weeks. It is now 2/18/24 and still no vehicle. While the vehicle in his possession, he called and said the vehicle needed this that or the other and that he would take care of it for no extra charge. Weeks would go by not hearing anything. Come to find out he had changed shop location and did not even notify us. Weeks go by and he would call and tell us that he had been shipped the wrong parts several times. Said he had been sick and hospitalized. Weeks go by and again he said he would bring the jeep up by evening and he would no call mo show. Now when called he gets short with us and tells us he needs it out of his shop, and will bring it, but no call no show. Seems he has no intent of fixing anything and has $2000 of our money.

On 9/25/23, $800 was paid to Level Automotive Garage for a refurbished air conditioner compressor for a 2014 Honda Civic Hybrid. This money was to cover the part so that the garage could order it. (Air conditioner was not working in the vehicle). The air conditioner compressor has been "installed" in the vehicle per the shop (no way to verify this), but due to numerous excuses, air conditioner is still not working (at one point, they had the vehicle on their lot for a month with no work done, vehicle was picked up with nonworking air conditioner although we were out $800 at this point,) The car was dropped off again but not worked on due to it needing a wiring harness that they had to order, then it was wrong wiring harness, then the wiring harness had to be reordered, then the mechanic was hospitalized (11/30/23). The car was brought to the shop again on 12/1/23 but still no available mechanic.

Ideally I would like the work to be finished without any further excuses but as they do not seem able to handle the work, I would like the money back so that I can take it somewhere else to get fixed. It has already been 67 days and I am out $800. Currently there is no mechanic available to finish the job.

I was in a car accident, took my car to this mechanic, he also operates under the business name Level Automotive and Level Auto Repair. The owner of the business, Bill Watson told me it would cost between 3000 and 3500 dollars to repair, and he needs the money upfront to buy parts. I paid him in October 2022. After all this time he always had some excuse about extra things that needed to be done. On July 27 2023 I went to his shop to have my car towed, I don’t think he has done anything. The car is in pieces and the entire frame is still bent even though he told me he had it straightened out. I asked him for an itemized receipt by text and will not respond. My credit card company has determined this to be fraudulent and has refunded my money.
I also had him do work on a truck that I took ownership of in 2022. I paid 5000 upfront and an additional 500 when I picked up the truck after he “repaired” it. The trucks frame is completely rusted out and should never have passed inspection, it is not safe to drive. I am seeking a refund for the 5500 I paid for the truck.
