On Monday June 26, 2023 I called Eagle Duck cleaning- Eagle services to inquire about getting my chimney sweep for my oil furnace. They were able to do the job that same day. At 2:00 pm a technician came to the house. Although the price was higher than quoted due to footage of pipe I agreed to pay 400.00 as agreed directly to the **** App before service began. I have a warranty on my furnace so SMO had been out a few weeks earlier but couldn't get an accurate diagnostic reading due to the soot in the chimney. SMO cleaned the interior of my oil burning furnace and said they would return after the sweep. The Eagle technician took a look at furnace and explained he was going to approach the sweep from the pipe directly connected to furnace so not to soot up the already cleaned unit. After approximately 20 minutes the technician called me on my cell phone and asked me to come down stairs, he wanted to show me something. Im not sure what I expected never having had a chimney sweep or oil burning furnace but 5- 6 inches of black soot directly on my floor definitely wasnt it! He proceeded to put his hand into it to show me the depth. He said Im done now and will vacuum up this puke but youll have to mop the floor and close the back door. Well over two hours later and five microfiber clothes, two padded pugs for cushion while I was on my knees waging later I had done a fairly good job. Apparently the soot is oil based so absolutely would not come up completely. In between tiles us ruined and black. Walls, appliances, doors and freezer still need to be treated. The technician told me to take out anything I was worried about prior because there would be a thin coating of soot. I took out the clothes on the rack and two baskets and told him I certainly dont have a tarp. After speaking to my neighbor and son they both were appalled. The pictures say it all. They had talks on floor prior as well as sheets around the flues and all ash was contained in a unit. This is ridiculous. I now am cleaning up soot in family room as well as counters upstairs. What I need is a professional cleaning company to clean up after this so called cleaning company *****

This company goes by several different names. It’s very unprofessional and I’m still having problems with oil residue from the chimney being dumped directly onto the floor. Please see the pictures I just took last week. Please continue to try to contact this company.

Called up Eagle Duct company as there were birds stuck in the microwave vent of my tenant's house. Technician visited, we explained the scenario. He said he will be back the next day to clear the birds and to install a bird cage in the patio. I told him he can also have the laundry dryer vent cleaned up, and asked for the price. He said: $200: price of a stainless steel bird cage, with 3 years warranty $89: laundry dryer vent cleaning $89: microwave vent cleaning and to remove the birds I asked for the best offer he can give. He said $360. We agreed and he was going to return the next day. I asked him if he needed me to be there, or if he was good to come over and do the job in the tenant's house. He said he was good. So, technician came back the next day. The tenant lets him in, and technician sends me videos showing the progress and he is having some challenge with removing the birds. He said he will have to cut the microwave vent and it will be a different charge. I agree. Later he called up after some time and said he has removed the birds without having to cut the vent, and has finished the other jobs. Before my tenant came down to check, he was already outside the house, at the door. So, they agree that I will make the payment. Technician texts me the amount $360 and asks to ***** to ** *** **** ******** (###-###-####). I thank him and ***** pay him within an hour. I text him asking if he received, and he acknowledged. Within the next hour or so, my tenant calls up and says he can hear the birds again and sent a video of it. Also, the microwave fan which was working totally fine till then stopped working. Moreover, the microwave door is completely broken! I texted and tried to call the technician back saying the birds are still there. Absolutely no response to my texts or calls. Tried to reach him a couple of times, before calling up Eagle Duct Cleaning. All calls to Eagle Duct kept going to Voice Mail. I tried the next 3-4 days, and it continued to go to Voice Mail. Frustrated, I had to call up another service and have the birds removed. They removed 6 more birds from the microwave vent! Fan also started to work. Finally over the next week or so, my call to Eagle Duct got through and they said they will have a manager call me back, which never happened. So, I give them 2 weeks before calling back again. Again, they said the manager will call back, which has also not happened. I am looking to get back a full refund as the job was never done plus the condition was made worse. Plus, I paid $65 as visit fee to my home warranty to have the microwave door checked. They checked and said they cannot fix it as it was a case of misuse, which i agree with them. So, now in addition to $65, I have to shell out more to have the door/microwave replaced. I am looking to get back a full refund of $360 + $65 + whatever is going to be the cost of replacing either just the door, or the full microwave if replacing door is not an option.
