On October 202, Mr Everton V************, a Quartz Professional Installer and owner of A Granite Work, came to my home and quoted $5,000 for the installation of my kitchen countertop (labor and material). The quote considered the installation of two jumbo slabs of ************* quartz, brand MSI, to be installed in May 2022 once the renovation of my kitchen was in the last stage of completion (proof of agreement was done via ******** by text and voice messages available upon request). Mr. V************ requested an upfront payment of $2,968 that covered the stones (two jumbo slabs). I paid this amount by check on 10/14/2021 (proof of check and confirmation of payment). He sent me pictures and brought to my home a sample of the stone selected. On several occasions, I requested Mr. V********** the confirmation of the transaction by providing a receipt or invoice of the payment done, and he constantly replied that he would send it later, but never did. On May 4th, 2022, I anticipated to Mr. V********** that we were ready for the countertop installation. He immediately replied arguing that he was very busy and ensuring at the same time, that he would respond quickly in the next few days. After that day, he constantly kept changing the dates and delaying our work (text and voice messages available upon request). On June 6th, 2022, I requested Mr. V********* to give us the two slabs, already covered with my first payment, so I could hire someone else to do the installation. That day, he didn't reply and stopped answering my texts and multiple voice calls. On June 23rd, 2022, and after failing in the communication with Mr. V*********** to deliver the work, we asked him FULL REFUND of the payment done in October 2021, so I can find other options to install the countertop as planned. He confirmed that he would pay back (voice message available upon request). However, it didn't happen and stopped responding.
