  I booked a 15 person party bus for my birthday scheduled to go to two wineries from DC ... but instead a 40 person party bus arrived. That was not per the terms of my contract. They had my itineraries, and knew I was going to small wineries which do not like large buses and still sent me a bus that I did not ask for. The driver was 15 minutes late. I liked the driver, so I didn't fault him but was really irritated after I was told SEVERAL times by the dispatch and reservation folks that I could not go a MINUTE over the time a booked the bus for.. then they arrived 15 minutes late. I was told that the time would be given to us on the back end. When we were at the second winery, I was told we had an extra 15 minutes from the scheduled time because the driver being late. The SECOND the time hit to leave I got multiple (fairly rude) texts from the dispatch saying that they bus would leave without us and that our belongings on the bus would be left at the pick up location. Mind you - all this after the driver had been 15 minutes late to begin and the wrong bus was sent. We ended up leaving a little behind schedule but still arrived back at the drop off location only 5 minutes later than schedule. No harm done and there was certainly no need for harrasing texts. Oh on top of all that, when we got back on the bus it smelled like a bathroom... even though none of us had used the bus bathroom.

  Uptown Bus Company was contacted for a quote for a 40-person executive bus with black leather seats and a lavatory. A contract was executed on March 18th with the agreement for round trip services in a 40-passenger minibus with a bathroom and black leather seats for the agreed upon price. Our bus was 30 minutes late and was certainly not what the contract stated and was in deplorable condition. The bus that showed up was an old 55-passenger full size charter bus. The entire bus smelled like feces, the cloth seats were ripped and torn, pieces of the window insulation were falling off, and the entire bus was filthy dirty and overall appalling. The dispatcher (Katrina) was contacted to inform her of their mistake sending us the incorrect type of bus to which she replied that the driver must have mistakenly picked the wrong bus and she assured us that we would have the correct bus for our returning trip. Immediately after this conversation, our credit card was charged for the remaining balance. Unfortunately, the bus for our returning trip was again not what we had agreed upon and what was stated on our contact. What we received was a bright red full size charter bus in even worse conditions than the first. The smell of the bus once again had an unbearably strong stench of sewage which was making people feel sick during the 3.5-hour drive. It was an absolute embarrassment to have our guests travel in these terrible conditions. When we reached out final destination, Uptown Bus was contacted to be informed once again that we received a bus in awful conditions and that the type of bus is not what we chose per the contact. The dispatcher then replied that their busses are fine and that we were the problem. The interaction and experience with Uptown bus was completely unprofessional and unacceptable. I would give this company 0 stars and warn customers to not to use their services.
