    I am writing to file a complaint regarding a concerning experience I had with Suburban Hospital's billing and collection process. In October 2023, my son required emergency care, and we sought assistance at Suburban Hospital. All bills related to the visit were paid. However, I was surprised to receive a call from ***********************, a collection agency, on March 7, 2024, informing me of an outstanding bill of $41 that had been sent to collections.Upon receiving this notification, I contacted the billing department of the ***** ******* Health System, as well as Ventra Health, as I was advised that Ventra Health handles physical bills. However, both entities confirmed that no outstanding charges were recorded on their end. This discrepancy in billing information raises significant concerns about the accuracy and reliability of Suburban Hospital's billing system.Despite the lack of clarity regarding the alleged outstanding bill, I opted to pay the amount to prevent any adverse impact on my credit score. However, I am deeply troubled by the fact that this matter escalated to the extent of involving a collection agency. I urge you to investigate this matter to ensure that such incidents are not repeated in the future. It is imperative that Suburban Hospital reviews and improves its billing procedures to prevent bills from being sent to patients and subsequently to collection agencies. The fact that this issue went unnoticed until it reached the point of involving a collection agency is unacceptable and reflects poorly on the hospital's administrative processes.I appreciate your attention to this matter and trust that the Better Business Bureau will take appropriate action to address these concerns effectively.

    Good morning: I was admitted to Suburban Hospital Bethesda January 6th. I could NOT get my January 7/8 blood test results on hormonal imbalance upon discharge January 10th. I asked for such record when a nurse called me 2 days later. I let her know that I CANNOT access medical records via computer. I also sent the required form, to obtain a patient record 2 weeks ago, but to this day, Suburban Hospital Bethesda did NOT comply, and I've been unable to see a much needed specialist because Suburban refuses to mail me my January 7/8 blood test results.
