On Jan 26, I accepted Oopsie Daisy's bid, for $6000-$400 discount. Balance of $5640.00, paid Jan 31, 2023. Clarity pictures provided; 20 centerpieces, bridal bouquet, all flowers for bridal party, flower girl headband w/ribbons & flowers, 10 tall free-standing trees, candy cart, trellis decorations, wrap around for bar, head table, bathrooms flowers, cake tables, and tea light candles hanging from every branch and centerpiece. Florist said she understood. Later I added boutonnieres, corsages, a tossing bouquet, and plate fern leaves. I was told “no problem, the budget would cover it.” April 19, I began pressing the florist for details &, sketches for my approval. She delayed! I repeatedly asked for pictures of previous work, plans, & details. I never received. We met April 26, the florist and my coordinator. We were asking question; she was defensive. She showed 2 potted artificial trees to use for the centerpieces & she would dress these plants. I explained that under no circumstances should there be big pots sitting on the tables. She assured me no pots and a dressing for base of the short trees with moss and flowers and glass vases for the larger trees with water and crystals. All w/hanging tea light. She promised mockups for approval. Never did! 4 days before the wedding, the florist texted, pay another $1000 for add-ons. My response was, “No" to add-ons.” 2 days before she asked if I still wanted her. I said YES. Event day, florist arrived 2 1/2 hours late. Wedding guests were arriving. The stuff she showed was not used. She had 10 live palm trees (tropical theme… not enchanted forest), 10Yuccas in pots. The wedding was a formal and upscaled affair, Tacky seeing Yucca tree pots in burlap. 1 tea light every other table. 1 thin floral for the head table. Never hung bar canvas. The trellis outside had few flowers & none on the sides. The flower girl’s headband was without ribbon & flower. Many duties undone. Didn't contacted me for being late; nor since.
