    On November 25, 2023, I paid $1595.46 to Design Expo's salesman (*********************) for cherry oak wood floor panels made by ********. **************** requested full payment for the consumer goods at the time of purchase and informed me (and my boyfriend) that I would be able to take delivery of the wood floor materials on December 12, 2023. On December 5, 2023, **************** contacted me via text and phone to inform me that "the manufacturer did not have the inventory and that it should be available mid January". He asked what I wanted to do with the order. I replied that 'I wanted to cancel the order". I reminded him that I paid for the wood floor materials in November and that I planned to have it installed this month. He confirmed that I am entitled to a full refund because his supplier does not have the wood floor materials as originally promised. I requested that a refund be available for me on that same day of our conversation. **************** refused, but assured me that I would receive a check on December 6, 2023. I contacted him on the morning of December 6th to request a time that I would be able to pick up my refund check. He referred my message to his bookkeeper (*****). She told me that it would not be convenient for her to go to the Bowie store location with it. She said that she would have the check available by the end of the week. I responded that I was not satisfied with that response. I have not received any further communication or information regarding the requested refund. I am now waiting without the materials that I paid for and I do not have the refund that I was promised on December 5th.

    I have been able to successfully resolve my dispute with Design Expo.  I sincerely appreciate the assistance that the Better Business Bureau provided to ensure that this dispute was resolved quickly and fairly.
