    Back in 2019, I moved into The Courts of Camp Springs with what I thought were a few minor cosmetic issues not taken care of before move in. Over time problems began becoming consistent with the unit, such as the heat going out (one issue that occurred, first day of move in), to having an infestation of fleas, and large amounts of what I thought was dust coming out of the ventilation closet. Throughout the time of living in the neighborhood, multiple work orders were put in place for these issues. The work orders were not done, and the issues had been covered up with **** ****. Over time the issues began to become worse affecting my daughter's health over time. My daughter experienced an unpleasant cough for a long period of time. I also suffer from headaches and chest tightening from the extended exposure to the mold in master bedroom. Supporting documents will be uploaded, showing the mold in the vents and the work orders that were submitted that did not get completed. I am writing this complaint to acknowledge the disregard and negligence of a serious matter that not only affects the comfort of residing in your home but the health and well-being of my daughter and me. Not only did living here jeopardize my daughter's and I health, but it was also unsafe for our wellbeing. From countless murders to a number of arrests that occurred not only in/around the neighborhood but also below my unit. I did not feel safe nor comfortable to live there. This complaint is to seek monetary compensation for some of the rent payments in the past and to dispute the rent payments that were not made (are held in escrow) in the last months of residing at the residence.
