    ON JUNE 19 2023 I HAD MY 2016 ***** ACCORD EXL V6 THE VEHICLE HAD ***** MILES TOWED TO AYT FOR DIAGNOSTIC I WAS TOLD BY ****** AT AYT THAT I NEEDED A STARTER FOR MY VEHICLE ****** HAD QUOTED ME A CHEAPER PRICE AT FIRST FOR A USED STARTER AND I DECLINE IT I TOLD ****** THAT I WANTED A BRAND NEW STARTER FOR MY CAR SO ****** TOLD ME THAT A BRAND NEW STARTER WOULD COST ****** PLUS LABOR AND I AGREED TO THE COST FOR THE REPAIRS I PICKED MY VEHICLE UP ON JUNE ******* THE TOTAL COST OF REPAIRS WAS ****** DOLLARS AND MY VEHICLE CAME WITH A 12 MONTH OR ***** MILES WARRANTY WHATEVER CAME FIRST SO AROUND JUNE 13 2024 MY VEHICLE STARTED ACTING LIKE IT DIDNT WANT TO START AND I CONTACTED ****** AT AYT AND HE TOLD ME TO BRING THE VEHICLE IN SO I DROPPED OFF THE VEHICLE ON JUNE 18 2024 THE VEHICLE HAD ***** MILES AND ****** SAID THAT HE WOULD REPLACED THE STARTER UNDER THE WARRANTY BUT I WOULD HATH TO PAY FOR THE LABOR COST OF ****** SO I AGREED TO IT SO WHEN PICKING MY VEHICLE BACK UP NOT KNOWING THAT A BRAND NEW STARTER WAS NEVER PUT IN MY VEHICLE AS I REQUESTED FROM THE BEGINNING A REMANUFACTOR STARTER WAS PUT ON MY VEHICLE NOW AYT IS SAYING THAT I NEEDED A FLYWHEEL FOR MY VEHICLE AND IT WOULD COST ******* DOLLARS MY VEHICLE IS STILL NOT FIXED

    The customer came in on June ********* with her car not starting. We gave her a est. for repairs and customer approved. AT NO TIME WAS A USED STARTER OFFERED WE DO NOT SELL USED STARTERS. We replaced her starter and inspected her flywheel. 12 months later she said her starter was having trouble and asked if she still had a warranty. We told her that the starter did but the labor did not. The customer approved the starter to be replaced and after we removed the starter and inspected the flywheel again we found that this time the flywheel had damage. We notified the customer and sent her photos to show the damage and told her the cost. The customer declined the repair and was going to take it to ***** to try and get them to replace it under warranty. After ***** told her they wont warranty the flywheel due to an aftermarket starter being installed the customer called and started with she told me a year ago to replaced it with a new one. We have no notes and do not recall any conversation were the customer requested a dealer only part. We have reached out and tried to work out with the customer several times to replace here flywheel offering to meet her in the middle because she is a valued customer. The customer refuses every time and has just recently threatened us with legal action. We are not responsible for normal ware and tear on a 8 year old flywheel. This happens at some point in on all cars which use the flywheel with the starter. That is why it is inspected every time. We replaced the starter and have no reasonability for the flywheel ware and tear.  That being said we did try to make our customer happy by trying to work with her but she was not happy with any offers made. After the customer informed us she wished to take legal we have ended communication with the customer.

    IM REJECTING THE BUSINESS RESPONSE BECAUSE  I WAS REQUESTED AND I WAS CHARGETHE PRICE OF A NEW STARTER AND RECEIVED A REMAN STARTER AND ACCORDING TO THE  MD AUTO REPAIR LAW I WAS SUPPOSED TO RECEIVED A RECEIPT STATING WHAT KIND OF PART WAS PUTON MY VEHICLE THATS WHY I DIDNT KNOW THAT THE PART WAS A REMAN PART

So that was never an option.  Again there are no notes requesting a new starter from the dealer and we NEVER offer used parts for starters or alternators. We offered to meet her on pricing she rejected it and threatened to sue us. At that time we can no longer work with her after her threat of legal action. .
