      I enrolled my Daughter in Driver's Education @ list Driving Academy in July 2022. The cost was $418.00 for the complete class. My Daughter Brooke completed a two week on line session of the class and was able to complete two hours (out of six) of the Driving portion of the class in August. I scheduled two additional classes for 10/03/2022 and 10/23/2022. The owner was late for the first session and we were unable to contact him. It is nearly impossible to contact the owner ( or anyone else at this company. I tried to call several times. e-mail and tried to call a phone number that had texted me back to notify that my Daughter was in the ER and would be unable to attend a driving session on 10/03/2022. The owner then e-mails me that I would have to pay an additional $55 for the driving session due to a cancellation. I am not sure how this is acceptable. He was given notice and if someone were there to answer the phone, there would have been sufficient notice - even for an emergency. I would like for the owner to allow my Daughter to complete the driving session without penalty or additional fees since there were multiple attempts to give notice for the emergency and missed driving session. Furthermore- I would not recommend this business to anyone. There is never anyone available to talk to- and there is very slow response to e-mails.

We notify each student on the first day of class and throughout the two weeks of classroom training when their in-car session will be. We also offer the students a full refund on the first day if they would like to withdraw. Each student is required to schedule their in-car sessions online. They are notified of the cancellation policy before they schedule each session. The cancellation policy is also posted on the A-List website. See below for scheduling information: PLEASE READ BEFORE SCHEDULING Important: The In-Car Training Schedule is "live". Displayed below are the current sessions available at this moment. The schedule is added to daily as our Team adds training slots. Training slots open and close as students move into and out of the available training times. Seasonally, June, July and August are typically the highest demand periods for in-car training as well as weekends and after school hours throughout the school year. We encourage students to start scheduling early and spread out their training over time to avoid conflicts to obtain their desired sessions. Please continue to monitor the schedule. If you do not find your desired training session. Please understand that A-List Driving Academy is one of the few companies to maintain operations over the last 18 months while other providers have closed permanently or reduced their training. There is significant demand for our services. In the event that a student is running late to a session, the instructor will remain at the training site for 15 minutes after the scheduled start time. If a student misses a scheduled behind-the-wheel session, that student will be required to purchase an additional Replacement behind-the-wheel session to make up for the missed driving appointment We send each student a reminder 72 and 24 hours before their in-car sessions. See below: Thank you for using our online scheduler! Please note all payments must be made before we will confirm your session. If you cannot keep an appointment for any reason, please be sure to notify us at least 48 hours in advance. Brookes in car session for 10/03/22 was confirmed on 9/30/22. We received an email on on 10/03/22 at 8:30 am indicating that Brooke will not be able to attend her in-car session that is scheduled for 12:45 pm. We responded at 9:24 am. We have our voicemail set up to indicate for a faster response time contact us online or via email. We try our best to be upfront and transparent about the process of driver's education. We post information online prior to scheduling and we send email reminders. I notified the company when my daughter was in the ED and since there is such a demand for the driving sessions, the owner should have been able to give that session to another student. As a Pediatric Emergency room Nurse, I find it completely unacceptable that a business can operate this way. There are circumstances beyond our control that will arise and there should always be exceptions to the rule. I did not plan for my daughter to get sick or to be in the hospital. Also- there should be someone to answer the phone at a list driving. I sent an e-mail as soon as I could. I find it very unprofessional, and I will be sure that no one in Crofton ever does business with this company. There is nothing that can be done when you call 3 hours before a session. This is the protocol for driving schools, not just A-List. If a student misses a scheduled behind-the-wheel session, that student will be required to purchase an additional Replacement behind-the-wheel session to make up for the missed driving appointment.
