Brought my car in for a brake issue, master cylinder needed replaced ($600+). Ok, no problem. Picked up my car, no problem. Got it home and my brake fluid sensor starts going off. I check the brake fluid level, it's topped off. I call DK Tires and tell them about the sensor. They tell me it's probably bad, they'll replace it ($0). Ok. Brought my car back in. The replaced the sensor...and when I start my car my whole dash lit up with error codes. I went back into the office, told them what was going on and they proceeded to tell me that it was like that when I came in. I honestly couldn't believe what they were telling me. As a last ditch effort I asked them to at least take a look at it again since I didn't feel comfortable driving it with a stability control error coming up. One of the mechanics started yelling at me in front of my 5 year old daughter, telling me to leave or he was going to tow my car. At this point I called the police and explained the situation. They came and I told them what was going on. I knew that there wasn't much they could do but they took a report, told me to file charges at district court and they followed me home to make sure I made it back ok.This incident occurred yesterday, October 30th, 2024.

On October 10th 2024 Mr. ********** brought his 2016 **** A3 in to have his brakes serviced because the vehicle had no pressure when pressing the brake pedal and was unsafe to drive. The vehicle had several lights on the dash and had over 40+ check engine codes. We assessed the brake issue as requested and found that the brake master cylinder needed to be replaced. Mr. ********** agreed to the repair. We installed the new master cylinder and the brake issue was fixed. Mr. ********** picked up the vehicle on October 22nd 2024. We informed him that the vehicle makes a loud rattling sound when starting the vehicle, he confirmed that it was making that sound previously. Mr. ********** called us to let us know that the vehicle was informing him that there was something wrong with the brake fluid level sensor in the new master cylinder. We obtained another sensor and replaced it on October 30th 2024. After the installation was complete, Mr. ********** got into his vehicle and became aggravated, informing us that the lights on his dash were not there before. We informed him that changing the sensor on the master cylinder cannot cause any of the lights on his dash to illuminate. Our mechanics scanned, checked and did research for over an hour to try and find anything that could help him. Our recommendation was to take it to another garage that specializes in German made vehicles. Mr. ********** responded stating that it was our responsibility since the lights came on here, even though the lights in question have nothing to do with the repair/service ************ of the mechanics told him that there was nothing else that we can do at this time to solve this issue, it appears to be electrical. Mr. ********** informed him he wasn't going to leave until his vehicle was fixed. The mechanic then told him that he could either leave or have the vehicle towed because it was blocking a doorway. Mr. ********** refused so we called the city police to have him removed from the property. They arrived and took our statements and escorted Mr. ********** off the property. The issue that the vehicle was brought in for was repaired and no other system was worked on.

I am rejecting this response because:

I was never escorted off the property, I left on my own and after the city police told me they would follow me home to ensure I made it ok. We both called the police, they were not the only to request their help. I have included the police report number at the bottom of this email. This is a 3rd party, impartial account of what happened. I believe this will help clarify the situation.

      Sincerely,

It should also be noted that they never worked on my car for an hour. In fact, the only work performed on my car by this business after they replaced the sensor was run a code check.

Mr. ********** and I both called the Cumberland City Police. We requested he be trespassed due to him not allowing us to explain anything to him because he kept talking over and arguing with the mechanics. The officers had Mr. ********** leave the property and escorted him home, which he stated in his first complaint that they followed him home.

Mr. ********** has stated that we did not "work" on his car for over an hour. I stated, in my first response, that we scanned and did research for over an hour. Research cannot be done inside the vehicle, they were looking online and using the programs/websites that we have available to us. Performing the code check is the first step of doing research to try and identify the problem. We came to the conclusion that it appears to be an electrical issue, which **** vehicles are prone to have, and suggested a shop that more specializes in working on German vehicles. Mr. ********** refused that information and kept arguing with the mechanics and was then asked to leave.

We can go back and forth all day but it doesnt change the fact that my car had multiple error codes pop up after DK Tires worked on my car, something they have not denied. They have offered several reasons as to why, all conveniently deflecting blame away from them, but the bottom line is it happened after they performed work on my vehicle. As to who called the police and what was said after they arrived, neither has anything to do with the current situation. Ive also already provided the police report number that gives a 3rd party, unbiased view.

The issue at hand is this, my car went in with one issue and left with multiple issues after they worked on it, the only business that has done ANY work on my car.

      Sincerely,
