Purchased a storm door from ********** in the amount of $816.26 to include installation by Cross Home Improvements. Within the 1st month of installation had to contact ********** to have Cross Home Improvements come back out to install the lock correctly. After a few weeks later the lock wasn't working properly again and falling out of the door and the bottom spring that keeps the door from flying open came apart. So now the door is not functioning correctly. I reached out to ********** again and was given a number to contact Cross Home Improvement. No one answered so I left a VM message. I recently attempted to contact ********** again concerning the Contractor's faulty installation via email on March 22, 2024. After trying to contact the number given to me for Cross Home Improvements and it's out of service. I've reached out to **********'s Customer Order Specialist again via email on March 22, 2024 and no one has gotten back to me just yet. I'm not looking for any money back. I just want the door installed properly like we paid for!!!

I was contacted by the ********** *** and told to order another bottom spring for the door and she would have Cross Improvement come out to reinstall but when calling the manufacturer of the door they want to charge me $44 for a ***lacement.  Cross Improvement should pay for that since they NEVER installed it correctly!

**************** purchased a door from the *********** We installed her door thru the ********** installation program. **************** picked out her door, which was a regular entry door. The door came with a standard sill like all other newer style entry doors. **************** does not like the height of her new doors sill compared to her previous entry door that was many years old. We made a couple service visits to her home and explained to her that entry doors come with ***** in a prehung unit and they are all basically the same height.

We add this line to all our measure sheets-- "New ***** on prehung entry units may be taller than existing *****, we are not responsible for manufacturers product design"  because when your replacing a ***** year old door with a newer style-- this is not a uncommon complaint and we do not have any control over.

I attached a picture of what she is complaining about.

Also -- We contract off of the **********-- we signed no contract with ***************** nor did we recieve any payment from ****************. This complaint should not be attached to Cross Home Improvements at all since we are subcontractors for ********** with whom **************** signed a contract with and paid.

    Thank You

    ****** Cross

I am rejecting this response because: I have out a lot of the time, money, and patience put into resolving the variance issue, and all I have gotten is a CIRCLE. It's not the installer's issue, contact *********** it's not ************ issue, contact the company that made the special order door. It's not the door company's issue; contact the contractor who provided the measurements for the door company who made the door and sent it to ********** to sell to me. The installer picked the door up from ********** and installed it creating a serious issue with my uncompromised cement step that has been in place since ****. I am finished with everyone involved in this MESS and pray that nobody else has to go through a situation like mine.

    Sincerely,
