      Had my roofing and siding done by Ricky's team and they were professional, communicative and so helpful along the way. I've worked with so many contractors where I've been confused along the way/within the process, but I always had clarity along the way with them which was so reassuring and made the process so much easier on my end!

      Just had my gutters upgraded to the current code. Sean and Dutch were very professional, communicated well about the product and choices, and considered what was best for my house and my needs to correct water going to my outside basement stairwell. I would highly recommend this company if you would like timely service. I'm looking forward to having my roof replaced by Black Anchor in July.

      Tried Black Anchor for the first time recently and definitely would not recommend them. The quality of work was mediocre at best (for example, there are already large, visible bumps in the brand new roof and workmanship and molding issues on floors). Despite that, their prices ended up being extremely expensive relative to more established firms we checked with afterwards (firms we now wish we had used instead of Black Anchor – our mistake!). Communications was also poor, and invoices were unclear and inaccurate (they told us they have a policy that they do not itemize their invoices(!)). Black Anchor appears to be a company that prefers one-stop “Insurance Jobs” – where they deal with the insurer directly and collect all funds from them - and then hire sub-contractors. This sounds convenient, but can end up costing us homeowners many thousands of dollars more than if we collect the insurance money ourselves and then hire a reputable firm(s). Overall this ended up being a very unpleasant experience. Our recommendations before you choose Black Anchor:
      1) Get several bids/estimates from reputable firms for the work needed;
      2) Review their contract terms VERY carefully and make sure their contract 100% aligns with any verbal agreements you made with them: Demand to see in writing what you agreed verbally;
      3) Make sure you schedule a thorough work quality walk-through BEFORE their contractors leave.
      4) Do NOT let them collect your claim money from the insurer (they will likely ask to do that).
      Good luck with your job!
