On Sept. 4, 2022 at 5:22 p.m. I swiped my visa credit card at Flying J store # *** in ******* ** and pumped $54.95 of super gasoline from pump no. 8. After returning the gas nozzle, and pressing yes to receive a receipt, the screen read, see cashier inside. At 5:34 p.m. I entered the store and noticed Mark was at the lottery cash register. I approached the female cashier and requested a receipt from pump #8 for $54.95. The cashier said: "For how much"? I repeated, $54.95. She tore off a receipt discarded it and printed me a Receipt for $54.95. After returning home I checked my visa card account and discovered that she had charged my card $151.00 at 5:22 and $54.95 at 5:34 p.m. I called the merchant and was told by the manager Mark, that my credit card charged me an additional $151.00 holding fee because I was out of my territory and that I would need to take it up with my bank. I called my bank Barclay's and they refuted that lie. I then Drove back to the Elkton Flying J and stated to Mark that Barclay's Bank said that the merchant, Flying J had charged my card the $151.00. Mark aggressively stated that I would have to take it up with the manager that came on duty Monday morning Sept. 5, 2022. I then asked Mark for his last nam, he refused to give it to me and demanded that I get the **** out of his store and do not come back. Alone and fearing for my safety as a 67 yr old African American woman, I promptly left the store. I suggest each patron before leaving the pump at Flying J store **** ******* *** check your bank or credit card account promptly. The merchants over charging seems to be a lucrative scam on elderly unsuspecting patrons. He uses his nephilim size and caustic tongue to bully Patrons when his overcharging scam is challenged.
