We purchased doors from Medallion twice. We were told by both sales representatives that the doors NEVER rust because the paint is baked on. That held up to be true for the first set we purchased over 20 years ago. We paid about $9,000 for the three doors we currently have. Two of the doors have no rust at all, but the glass sliding door has rust on every angle of the door. Initially, I reached out to Medallion through a letter. One of the owners called me on my cell phone and said they would replace the doors. I later received a call from Medallion telling me I had to pay $500 for them to come out to get the doors. I declined. Linda then said, she was told they would come get the doors at no cost to me. Shortly after, I became sick. I could not address this issue due to my illness. When I was better, I then reached out to address the issue. They ended up sending a guy out who looked at the doors and said they will send me paint. I said no, because the sales rep told me that the doors would NEVER rust. This was not a misunderstanding because a different sales rep told me the same thing when I bought them in about 2009. I want Medallion to correct this problem by taking the doors off and fixing them with their process which includes baking the paint on. Had the sells man (Ed) not told us this, we would have purchased MUCH cheaper doors at Lowes or Home Depot. Recently when I called, Ed got on the phone and proceeded to curse and yell at me for not just accepting paint. Again, I would like Medallion to stand by their product and their selling point that the door NEVER rust. I would also encourage others not to purchase from this because this experience is quite embarrassing to have spend soooo much money for doors that are no better than what you can purchase in Lowes and Home Depot.
