I owed a balance to this bank after closing an account and I paid the balance of $534.27 that they asked for and it still shows on my credit report as $534 charged off which is inaccurate and damaging to my credit. I ask for this to please be corrected and removed from my credit report as I can supply documents that it has been paid.

First United Bank & Trust acknowledges that Mr. ******* did fully payoff his charged off balance on October 25, 2024.  I have added an attachment to show credit bureau reporting by First United Bank & Trust as of 3/7/2025, to show this balance is paid in full and this should be reflected on Mr. ********* credit bureau reports.

My husband (**** ******) and I are in the process of buying a new home. Our current home ( mortgage through First United Bank & Trust - ***** ******* ******** ******** ** ***** - acct # ***********) is under contract and we have a closing date set to April 21st, 2022.

We have been trying to secure a loan for a new property in which will be our new residence; however, First United has reported late payments on our credit which we feel are not correct and they refuse to remove them! These few lates are the only reason preventing us from getting a new mortgage loan. We already have the new place under contract so we need to move quick in hopes we don’t lose it!

I attached several files proving our mortgage payments to First United Bank were not “30” days late as they state! Our payment is due the 1st of the month. They state the following dates are 30 days late, January 2022, March 2022, April 2022, and May 2022. As you can see in the attached files when I set up the payment through our bank and the highlighted info is when the payment was processed or taken out by First United!

I really hope we can resolve this issue so we can pay off our mortgage through First United Bank and be done with them. This is absolutely not okay that they are submitting false info on mine and my husband, **** ******’s credit reports! If a payment is legitimately late I understand, but not all if any were 30 days late!! Please help us resolve this issue so we can secure our new loan!

The Bank contends that our records are accurate.

Payments for our customers’ mortgage are due
the 1st of each month.  For the January 2022 payment, payment was not received
until February 2nd, which would put the account status at 30 days late.
The February payment was not made until 3/21 and account status remained 30
days late.  For March 2022, the customer made payment on April 1st, but
payment was returned as NSF on April 7th.  A partial payment of $860.00
was made on 4/22 and on May 2nd the customer completed the March payment.
This put the customer into a 60 late status.   After speaking with
the customer and reviewing payment history, the Bank decided that since the
customer was only a few dollars short and made good on the payment in a
reasonable timeframe, they would adjust the credit bureau to show 30 days past
due but could not justify removing the 30-day late status.  A partial
payment of $870.00 was made toward April’s payment on 5/12, and on 5/13 the
customer paid an additional $2.55 to complete April’s payment, still leaving
the customer 30 days late.  On June 6th, the customer paid a partial
payment of $870.00 toward the May payment and then paid the remainder on June
17 to cover May’s payment, again leaving the account in a 30-day late status.

      Thanks

      **** ****

**** ****** and ***** ******* divorced in August of 2021, During the divorce **** ****** was given the house. The paper work shows through the courts that **** ****** was awarded the house. Since January 2022, **** ****** has been trying to assume the loan in her name only. First United been given the proper paperwork showing that the courts have awarded her the home.

We are now going into August 2022 and First United has not allowed **** ****** to assume the loan. We have spoken to numerous people for the last 7 months and we get different answers and run around. **** ****** and Jerry ******* have filled out paperwork, which First United claims not having. **** ****** and ***** ******* have sent the paperwork through email. **** ****** was living in the residence when she had work-related issues and divorce which cause her to put the house under covid forbearance mortgage for a time period. **** ****** has been off the forbearance since January and been making her monthly payments. First United only wants to speak about the forbearance and not the assumption to get the house in her name.

We learned from an employee at First United that we only need to file assumption paperwork for $500 dollars and because the courts awarded the house to **** ****** the fees for taxes and home insurance would be waved. It should be a 30-day process; however, we were never told about this process and still not been told about this process. We still have not received this paperwork so ***** ******* can have his name off the loan and 30 days turned into 7 months.
