I just started remote work for Welocalize, and so far, so good. The onboarding process was easy, instructions were clear, and my immediate supervisor is friendly and helpful. I hope to be a part of Welocalize for many years.

After long and unpaid recruitment process - I passed all three exams and was notified via email of such and was asked to click a link to onboarding. The link was broken - after one solid week of back and forth with the recruiter - submitting tickets etc - I got a form email stating ‘they were choosing to not proceed with my application.
I am at a total loss and absolutely devastated. I can only conclude this is a job scam and phishing attempt to get my personal information. Stay far far away from this company and their deceptive promises

They make you jump through hoop after hoop. And leave you with nothing. The "training" they offer is a couple of pathetic power points, a bunch of simulations which don't tell you why something is incorrect. It just tells you that you need more work. The exam is timed, and if you don't finish all 14+ ratings in that time, they delete your work and make you start over. They tell you that you failed the exam, but nothing else. So you can't even double check to make sure it was graded correctly. And it has to be done in an incognito browser window. You end up doing over 98 rating evaluations for free. Word is, from people who actually work there, that they use the work you put in, but fail you so they don't have to pay you. I did about $1,600 of work for free.
Do not waste your time with them. The communication is abysmal, you can only send support tickets when you need help and they DONT help. Or even answer your questions. I wish more than anything else I did not waste so much time on them. Don't go through the frustration I did. RUN NOW!
I would have given them negative stars if it was allowed.

I was hired in Brazil by Welocalize to complete tasks in a project called Ads Search Quality and when I got my first PO it was not clear the rates of the tasks I performed.
In the PO there was a 1 generic task name and different rates. I
could identify some tasks for some of those rates but there was a number of tasks in a certain rate (lets call rate X)  I performed which I could not identify the name for them so I opened a ticket.
I got a reply with the task names, dates and quantities for that week but there was no rates for them.
So I replied asking them again for the name of the task which I got rate X.
I got a of a chart with all different types of rates Welocalize pay but no name of tasks linked to them.
Then I replied asking them again for the info just so I could check if my PO was correct and proceed the invoicing process.
I got NO reply just an email saying I had been fired.
Honestly I do not know if this politics they use is only here for Brazilians but it sounds extremely shady not sharing the names of tasks and their rates with us the raters. I do not understand what they are hiding but this is not honest and wanting transparency made me lose my job.
Furthermore there is a part of the contract I signed before starting work that says both the  welocalize and the rater must give a 45 days written notice prior termination of the contract.
I replied the email I got fired with this part of the contract printed and I did not get any reply.
It seems to me that because we are from a third country they can be shady and dishonest and clearly do illegal things when it comes to payment. There is no other reason they would rather fire me than just telling me task Y pays the rate of X.
They recently hired an insane amount of people in Brazil, whatever illegal process they are doing with our payment must have been very profitable for them.
