      Business sold a fake autographed baseball to me. Verified a fake by ******* authentication. Business sold as "****** **** Signed OLB Ball No COA". Baseball contained a facsimile signature. This is false advertising.

      Winning bidder emailed us on May 12, 2025 regarding this item. We responded on May 22 that we would refund his payment.  We refunded his payment after I sent the email on May 22.  Proof of refund is attached.  We dispute the idea that Mr. ******* was frauded out of money.  The item clearly states it had no COA and it clearly states that we did not want to get it graded for authentication.  We also asked bidders to look at the pictures carefully to decide how to proceed to bid.  We also stated that we would not offer refunds.  We offer items up for auction by consignors.  We do not own them.  We are not professional graders.  We cannot tell if an item is real or forged.  We ask the consignors if they want us to get the items authenticated, and if they don't, we sell them as is with the statement that we did not think it is worth grading.  Clearly, other bidders stayed away.  An authentic ***** ****, sweet spot signed baseball goes for over $3,000.  Mr. ********* $205 purchase is in line with what people pay for facsimile autographed ***** **** baseballs.  The price is in line with what he received.  However, we are also collectors and we don't want another collector disappointed with a purchase, so, per his request, we refunded his payment.

      Here is a screen shot showing that Mr. ******* has been refunded for the purchase of this baseball.  Normally, we do try to email bidder inquiries within three business days, but I had surgery on my jaw during this time period and it took a while for me to catch up on the emails.  So, I believe had I been able to communicate with Mr. ******* more quickly, he would have gotten his desired outcome without this step. We understand and appreciate his rights as a consumer.  Hopefully, he will do the right thing and acknowledge to you that he received his refund as was his desired outcome in this case.
