      on 1-16-23 Had driveway sealed for $500.00. noticed it was worn off in areas. It has a 2 year warranty. I started calling in Sept 2023. Called and text messages numerous times. The only time he responded was when I put on his ******** page that I did not recommend them due to no response for my issue. John called to say his equipment was being repaired and it would be another 2 weeks. I have called and text multiple numbers I had for them. They will not respond.

      D&H Paving did work for my neighbor. They drove into my yard and left large ruts and spilled gas in my yard. My husband called immediately while they were still on site and spoke to Danny C******, who I guess is an owner of the company as his MHIC license number is on the estimate. Danny cussed at my husband and told him that he did not have time for this. There is **** camera footage of the truck driving into the yard and photos of the damage and gas spills. I have called the main business number listed on their sign for two weeks, requesting a call back to discuss repair work, and have not received a call back. I guess I should have expected as much since reading the previous complaints. It seems that cussing people out, damaging property, and not returning calls is the norm for this company. Still hoping for repairs.

       Mr ***** is having an ongoing dispute with our costumer they live on a shared easement, We did not spill gas in their driveway. They are in legal litigation, for my understanding with my customer, Mr. ***** tried to run me off the road and threaten me and my employees while we was working on the neighbors property they have harassed several contractors on that site. I’ve spoke to a couple of them and none of my men feel comfortable to go back out to the property he threatened to shoot them. Mr. ***** literally chased my truck down the driveway, screaming and hollering. He also called me on the phone, threatening me, trying to say that I pour diesel in his creek, which again is not true. I have witnesses that seen him try and run me off the road and like I said, he threaten my guys and me there were six people that witnessed that and as far as our conversation on the phone, he did nothing but scream at me. So we will not be going back near his property or speaking with him.

      In spring of 2022 I contracted with D&H Paving (John C******) for a 2” hot asphalt overtopping of my existing driveway. D&H conducted the work and upon completion I saw that the driveway surface was rough in appearance. This was especially apparent in an area in front of one of the garage doors approximately 14’ by 40’. It appeared to me that the material used was not heated properly. John C****** was there and he stated to give the driveway a couple of weeks to let the sun work and that he would come back in a couple of weeks to correct and not to drive on the paving for 3 days. We followed his recommendation but within a week the asphalt was crumbling, forming ruts and potholes. I contacted John and he said they would be out in a couple of weeks. Didn’t happen. Over the next several months I called John multiple times and he always promised to come out in a couple of weeks. Didn’t happen. Finally, after a dozen phone calls and about 3 months later two guys came with some dry material to tamp in the potholes and ruts. We didn’t use the driveway for over a week, but the driveway continued crumbling to the point we were tracking the material into the house. More calls to John and promises to come out in two weeks. Didn’t happen. After about 3 months, a crew showed up and applied a sealant to the driveway. The potholes and ruts were not repaired, just sealant applied. The sealant did improve the rest of the driveway but did not help the area in front of the garage which continued to crumble and still has potholes and ruts. More phone calls to John and he made more two week promises. Hasn’t happened to date. John’s excuse has now started to be, well, we came out twice. That’s true but they did not repair the defective driveway either time. I believe the driveway was not properly installed as it appears cold material was just rolled in place thus the continued crumbling of the asphalt material. Long cracks have also formed in other areas of the driveway.

      Good morning this is John C****** responding to the complaint.

      Last year when the problem first occurred for the customer I come out took a look at it and came up with a plan of action at that time I had told the customer if you could work with us on time that would be helpful and he agreed. We came out the first time to fix it within 4-6 weeks and proceeded to fix it two more times after that unfortunately the fixes we were doing just didn’t take third one did seem too and at that I also proceeded because he was such a patient and understanding customer to do a free sealcoat of the driveway which would have a value of $1800 done that again free of cost because he was patient and understanding. this spring he reached out with concerns that it was happening again I stopped out there in April took a look unfortunately he wasn’t home to meet me but I did get a look at it , he called me two weeks ago we had spoke I agreed saying yes I do see that the issue is coming back and we had a little bit of an argument because he was trying to tell me that I wasn’t out there as many times as we was when we was and then I wasn’t there when my guys was working and I was but once we talked it out we come to agreement that I would come out in the next couple weeks come up with the hopefully final solution and plan of action and go to execute from there I’m not sure why he’s complaining now after we’re last conversation of saying that I would be coming out to make a plan with him but at any rate I guess that’s the way he wants to handle it.

      With all that being said I am still willing to come out there make the repair and hopefully be done once and for all only if he agrees to immediately take this complaint down for I feel as I was completely unwarranted and we will make sure that it gets done this month if not then we will have to try to handle this another way we have been out there several times trying to fix it unfortunately the fixes haven’t took but nevertheless the effort has been there and also The gesture of doing free work that was going to be needed down the road driveways need to be seal coated and that’s preventative  maintenance I took care of that again free of charge for him so we’ve made the gestures of goodwill and we made the effort to try to fix the problem hard for a company to do any more than that construction is not easy and construction is not always perfect we strive to do the best we can the only reason I’m continuing this is to try to make him satisfied I feel as though he is a good person And deserves to get this rectified please let me know how we should go from here

      D & H paving did a paving job for a neighbor of mine on 5-3-2023, they parked there equipment on a side street which my property runs along the street and they drove up on my property after we've had 4 to 5 days of rain and left 2 large ruts along the bank of my property. I saw them parked on the street and ride up in my property and time that I could get outside to get there they drove away. I then spent the next 3 days frying to find out the name of the company that was doing the paving which I was able to by speaking to the neighbor or hired them. I text D & H and the man I was as texting with accused me of lying stating that a lot of people accuse them of things like this when they see there trucks on the road. He ended our conversation with " I'll swing by and get a look see what I can do have a good weekend " needless to say I still haven't seen or have received any correspondence from him

      We had our driveway paved on June 25, 2021. We paid $8,200 for the completed job. We were told in the contract that we had a year warranty. We went over the expectations clearly with John when he came out to quote the job. We did not want any puddling and we asked that it be accessible for our trailers coming in and out of the driveway. On the first rainfall, A LOT of water came into our home garage and caused flooding. We continue to have flooding in our garage and we have since invested in new gutters. It is solely due to the height and grade of the driveway in front of the garage door. We had two puddles the size of our sedan right where we park our car. It takes days to dry out, our kids insist on jumping in it, it is a hassle and IT IS AGAINST THE CONTRACT that we BOTH signed. In addition to the grading and height being an issue by the garage, cars and trucks, especially delivery trucks, and trailers can not make it up our driveway without scraping. We now have big gashes in our driveway where trailers and delivery trucks scrape coming onto the driveway from the road. We have trailers that we can not back in or pull into the driveway now if there is a heavy load on them. We called D&H more than 20 times for a year beginning with the first rainfall when we noticed the huge puddles. They said they would come out and never did. Then they began screening our calls and didn't answer. Finally, we saw a D&H truck in our neighborhood so we asked about it and the man (who was only in charge of sealcoating) assured us it would be fixed if we called John at the office. It was this time we called and spoke with someone else who yelled and cursed at my husband (who spoke very kindly to him) and then hung up on him. This company does not honor their contract or perform work they promise. At this point, we do not even trust the company to come out and fix it properly.

      We have been in contact with this customer several times I was out to the job site twice last year while it was raining there was no water holding whatsoever he's continually called me telling me that there is water I have told him that when I'm in the neighborhood I would have no problem giving a shot with trying to heat it and roll it but as I told him last year there's odds are nothing that we can do because there's really no issues at all with the driveway so you can only tell that to somebody so many times as far as him getting cursed out by anybody no one from my company cursed him out so not sure what he's talking about there but these customers are very nice people I have no problem with continuing to try to take care of the heating and rolling next time I'm in the neighborhood just to see if that would satisfy them but at this point there's not much else I can do as I have said several times to him as I'm stating here I've been there when it's raining and there is no water holding that I could see so I'm not sure what I can do from here I have told him several times on the phone that when I am in the neighborhood with my equipment I have no issue doing that for him

      We will do our best to get out there in October if that happens to coincide with their deadline date of the fifth on their schedule great but if not we will take care of it this month and and do as we said to begin with bringing the roller and try to heat and roll the area that they are concerned about at this point that is all we can do we are not at all willing to give a refund for it is not A job that warrants a refund in any capacity again got no problem working with these folks they are good people but as I had said their issue is really a non-issue but I have no problem with giving it a shot for them to try to satisfy them In addition I would be willing to do a sealcoat on the driveway after we bring the roller in and do the heating job the seal coat is a job that figures for 975 on their driveway I would take care of that free of cost because they have been patient and I do appreciate it if that's something they're willing agree too I'm good with it if not well not sure what to do from that point

      Contacted D&H Paving located at 15154 Bloyer Ave. Hagerstown, MD., to have my mother's driveway repaired at **************** located in Thurmont MD, and they provided an estimate and then sent me a contract via email which we accepted and signed on November 10, 2021. I mailed the signed contract back with a deposit of $780.00 made payable to John C******, as requested in the contract, which was taken from my bank account on November 19,2021.

      Mr. C****** told me they would try to complete the job before cold weather set in, but they were not able to complete and told me they would do it in 2022, as soon as the weather warmed up, which I agreed to. As time passed by, I contacted Mr. C****** and was told he would let me know when they were going to complete the job. After numerous calls and texts, the job is still not complete.

      On August 8, 2022, I sent Mr. C****** an email stating I felt his company had more than ample time to complete the job and I needed to find another company to repair the driveway before this winter and requested that he return my deposit of $780.00.

      Hi got your message definitely understand and sorry we couldn't get to it
      Would it be OK to drop a check at your mom's mailbox?

      I texted him to mail me the check at my addressed provided to him, as she has a cluster mailbox and only the mail carrier could place mail in her box.

      As of today August 23, 2022, I have not received a check. I have called and left a message on his cell phone
      (301) 524-6378 Monday August 22 and sent him a text on Friday August 19, requesting the status of our refund. As of Tuesday, evening August 23, I have not received a response from Mr. John C******.
