This is supposed to be a 501(c)3 charity that takes in cats and finds them new homes. When my sister in Colorado had a stroke and I had to leave quickly to help her, I had to find homes for my 4 precious cats. Tess ********, the owner of this business, agreed by phone to take my cats and find them new homes. On Nov 4, 2023, I turned my cats over to her assistant. At that time I gave her a check for $600 to cover the cost of 4 adoption fees. I gave her over $2000 in cat carriers, food, toys, furniture and even an expensive "feral cat" house for her outside feral cats. She never gave me a receipt for my donations to use for taxes. She never had me sign over ownership of my cats to her organization. I got no paperwork. I was crying so I didn't think to question any of it.

She responded to my request for an update evasively, then stopped responding altogether. She said one of my cats was not adoptable because he was fat and she'd keep him in a cage for the rest of his life. Since he's 6 yrs old, that is condemning him to at least 10 years in a cage. She would not give him back to me!

She wouldn't tell me if the other 3 were adopted. She never listed my cats on her website as being for adoption. I offered to help her find homes for them since I have a large online following. She ignored that offer. I've begged her for an update by email and text about once a month. Zero response since a text on Dec 21, 2023.

I am not even sure my cats are alive or that she is still in business. Her cruelty is concerning. She supposedly has about 80 cats in 2 steel structures somewhere near Germantown Maryland with just 2 women who work fulltime caring for all of them. She promised me pictures of the facility but never gave me any. She wouldn't give me the facility address. I found it by looking up her 501(c)3. Her secretivness is concerning. This is not how to run a business, let alone a charity. I want to know what became of my cats and if necessary, take them and my supplies back.
