      I have had a bad experience with Thompson Gas, also. I was a customer of ****** ***** *** in Wake Forest for 10 years. Then I moved to Franklin county and had the tank moved to my new address. I have lived in Franklin county for 23 years and was still using the same 200 gal tank. When ****** ***** *** went out of business, I had another local gas company fill my tank. I received a letter from Thompson Gas in July 2021 stating I would have to pay an annual rental of $99.95 plus tax yearly to keep the tank. I called them and told them it was my tank and I didn't owe them anything. They said I had to prove I bought the tank, that they had proof they owned it. We had several calls and I returned a bill August 2022 from them with a note stating I did not owe them. On March 3, 2023 my tank was taken off my property when I was not home. I am very upset with Thompson Gas and have called and talked with Donna about my concerns. I had some gas in the tank and they literally stole it off my property without leaving me even a note. I will never do business with them and have no proof they own my tank. I would like some proof they own the tank and payment to me for the gas in the tank. I would appreciate an apology for their actions of taking my tank.

      If you can use another company do it. They first scratched my stove top. They then made several appointments without telling me then wondered why I wasn’t home. Now they are finally coming to turn on my gas and I was told they would be at my house by 8:45. I get a call at 9 saying they are on the way, meaning they won’t be at my house until 9:45. I have a job. Thanks for making my experience a nightmare Thompson gas in Orlando.

      Ran out of gas, (which is my ONLY heat source for my home,) due to the tank gauges displaying an inaccurate readout. Happened on a weekend I called the emergency line and they wanted $229 just to come out with it being a Sunday! So I decided to swap to my grill tank for the remainder of the weekend. Called again Monday and to deliver the next day they wanted $150 extra! All in all, I waited over a week to have propane added to my tanks. Not to mention the price at $3.70 a gallon! Thankfully, Feb. 16 I swap to a different company at a rate of $2.79 a gallon. Never have had a good encounter with them as prices have skyrocketed. Wish energyunited would've never sold out to them.

      Company does not honor their agreement with you. They will do everything possible to make you the bad guy. Was a propane customer for several years but not any longer. Do not use them for propane services

      I made arrangements threw the corporate supervisor and the branch manager for east Taylorsville nc. I did my part I paid when promised and I still was not brought gas my second day of waiting for an "emergency fill up" that is a joke there is no emergency fill up I'm still currently waiting for the gas I paid for in advance! The corporate supervisor was trying to underStand what was happening and is trying to fix it but the branch manager was rude and told me his end of the deal didn't matter I will never go back to Thompson gas they took my money and didn't deliver

      I had a very positive experience with Thompson Gas . Nate A******** was professional and very helpful he even went above and beyond helping me get the fireplace in the house figured out with the gas.
      Very glad we have them for our propane.

      Thompson Gas are crooks. I bought my house in December 2020. Without my asking they immediately came on January 21, 2020, to deliver 63 gallons of propane. With all the fees and the delivery charges, I paid $251.89. In September of 2021, I was diagnosed with Non-Hotching Lymphoma, I was scheduled to go to the hospital multiple times to get chemo. One of the times that I happened to be home, I ran into the delivery man. I told him my situation and explained to him that propane is a luxury for me and I can live without it as it only lights up my fireplace. I told him that I would not need the delivery and that I would be in contact with the company when I do. The delivery man was understanding and left. However, he return a short time later (when I was in the hospital, he knew that I wasn't home as there was no car in the driveway) he jumped my fence (this is trespassing) and proceeded to deliver me an additional 68 gallons of propane. I specifically told him that I did not want it, yet he stabbed me in the back and delivered the gas anyway. I contacted Thompson GAs and told them to come to take their gas back because I could not afford it. They came and put some kind of helmet on my tank so that I could not use it. I begged them, told them my situation, and asked for compassion. Nothing, they insisted that I pay immediately or they will come and take the entire tank. Well on a day when I was again in the hospital they came, they jumped my fence again and took the tank. They took my portion, their portion and all. Now they say that I will not get anything refunded as they used up all my credit towards all their expenses. Their admin fees, their restocking fees, and all the other things that are involved with taking the tank back. When my gas was delivered in January 2021 the price was much less than now, they took it all and sold it at a higher price. THIS IS COMPASSION? i will never use them again and i will never recommend them. They are crooks

      We have been very compassionate with this customer and did not charge the customer for several months once we were advised of her condition. When contact was made over the past few months we were informed by our customer that she did not have time to talk to us and hung up the phone. We were able to connect with this customer one time where we informed her that we would be retrieving the tank as she no longer wanted propane.

      The customer had a balance due on the account from the prior delivery as well as a current delivery that was recently made. The customer did not have to pay for any propane nor the cost associated with us picking up the tank and subsequent pump out. As our customer has not been charged for any propane or fees that is a mute issue although propane costs were much higher in January then they are not.

      It must be noted that we here at Thompson Gas do care for our customers and we always work to provide a solution for both parties that is reasonable and amicable. We can always work through issues with good communication. Thank you.

      I made a payment of $375 July 5th. They came out here, snuck into our property and disconnected our unit! I have COVID and now no hot water!!! I called them, waited forever, when the agent picked up the phone they immediately ended the call! I called back, waited in the queue again. An agent FINALLY answered and said, « Just a moment" then magically disappeared and just left me to wait. I've now been waiting for the magically disappearing agent for half an hour. This place needs to be SHUT DOWN!!!!

      This issue raised by our customer stemmed from the purchase of the house and the change over to her name. The prior owner was in default and we had scheduled a tank disconnect an pick up. When the new owner called in to set up her account we did not remove the Service Work Order to pick up that tank and therefore our Service Tech did not know that the issue with the prior owner was resolved. As a result of this issue we have realigned our process administratively to have a 3 step process for tank pick ups to validate that they are still warranted or needed to avoid a reoccurrence with any of our customers. We discussed the issue with the current owner who was rightfully upset. We had a service tech out to her residence the same day to unlock the tank and restore service.
