Harbor Freight Tools at ************************** in ********* is intentionally ringing up higher quantities of items than what the customer actually buys. They then lie about it when a customer catches on. This is what happened on June 6 2023 when I went there. I bought among other items 4 caster wheels at $5.49 each. The cashier employee was named *****. She was very rude. When she rang up the wheels she scanned one caster wheel tag repeatedly. I could hear from the amount of scans that it sounded like more than 4. I said I thought she had over scanned the items. She looked at her computer screen and said she hadn't. I could see that her computer screen was not showing the full list of items that I had bought and that she hadn't actually checked. I asked her again and she did the same thing, claimed she had it correct. I paid for the items and she handed me the receipt. I left the store. On the way home I looked at the receipt and saw she had indeed rang up quantity 5 of the wheels. I called the store and spoke to manager ******* ******. I explained the situation. Mr. ****** looked up the transaction and said there had been a blip or delay between what ***** saw when I asked her and what the actual charges were and he claimed she had tried to clear the extra wheel. This was not true, all ***** did was look at the screen when I asked about it. He said everything I had experienced was normal and that Harbor Freight had done nothing wrong. He refused to acknowledge a mistake had been made. He said he could not refund my wrongful charges and the store was closing for the night.***** intentionally rang up a higher quantity of items than what I bought. She lied about it when I asked, she did not actually check. When I saw it and called the manager he lied and said there had been a delay or "blip" in the transaction and that the computer system was to blame. Harbor Freight did this intentionally, it is a way of stealing money from customers.
