    Merchant goods were stolen from this company. I had bought two new pair of sneakers 4 hours before getting car towed and once my friend was pulled over due to negligence of reckless driving they towed my car and once I went to recover the car the shoes were gone. I have the time stamped receipt and I called to get the owner and or manager aware of this situation and the gentleman receptionist refused to escalate the call and was told well file a complaint . As Im doing now . Either pay the value of my shoes upon receipt verification or replace the exact shoes

    We were not made aware of the missing shoes until the vehicle was at the body shop.  We are not responsible for the missing shoes at that point because it could've happened while at the body shop.

    This company erroneously towed my car from my home. They claimed that my registration wasn't paid. It had been fully paid 23 days previously. It was due 8/31/22 and was paid on 8/20/22. The car was taken by Grimms on 9/12/22. I have all the documentation of this and showed it to them. Although they had made a mistake, I was still forced to pay $250.00 for my car. This company stole my vehicle from my own home and held it for ransom. They are a predatory and dishonest business. They lied and said that the HOA wanted it towed. I contacted the HOA and they said that they never would have done something like this without contacting me.

There are cars in this lot that have stickers from 2021, and I was the only one targeted. That I was given two weeks is a lie. How am I given days, and someone else is given years. I have all the documentation that my registration was paid on time. I was improperly and unfairly targeted. I need my money returned in full. My HOA has even requested that my money be returned and that is the only acceptable response. They are not legally correct. I submitted the document in my previous statement that clearly states in MD Transportation code 21-10A-04 that they must - Notify local police within one hour of the tow. - May not tow a vehicle solely for failure to display valid current registration under XX-XXX of this article until 72 hours after a notice of violation is placed on the vehicle. - May not tow without the property owners express authorization for each individual vehicle between the hours of 9:00pm and 6:00am (My car was taken at 11:36pm). -Must accept credit cards. Both State and County requirements must be met when towing from a parking lot. Grimm's Automovation is in violation of the law and needs to return my money. My HOA has contacted them several times as well asking them to return the $250.00. After speaking with an attorney and law enforcement about this matter it is clear that we have a case for small claims. I would like to avoid the extra step, but will continue to seek justice until this is made right.
