      I have had a ridiculously arduous and frustrating experience as a client at Slim Life Health & Wellness. Beginning in November 2021, I saw Angela for laser hair removal. Angela was not confident as a technician when it came to using the laser on my Black skin and said I would need at least 8 sessions to complete treatment. I paid in full for these sessions but after multiple visits, I saw no reduction in hair growth.
      On Wednesday, May 11, 2022, I received an email (attached) from Slim Life Health & Wellness and Evolve Med Spa saying Slim Life Health & Wellness in Timonium would be relocating on May 14, 2022. The email said laser hair removal services would not take place during relocation, impacting my treatment schedule. It also said clients like myself would receive more information about the relocation when details were finalized, but no additional information ever came. On December 20, 2022, I drove over an hour to Evolve Med Spa to continue treatment. Instead, I learned that my information never transferred from Slim Life to Evolve and I could not be treated. To date, I have not completed the 8 laser hair removal sessions I paid for. Of the sessions I did have, over half of them were ineffective in reducing the amount of hair growing on my skin.
      Working with technicians who were afraid to use a laser on my Black skin is ignorant at best and discriminatory at worst. I prepaid a large sum of money for laser hair removal and have been unsatisfied with virtually every part of the process. From a shift in staff to location changes to countless appointment rescheduling, being a client at Slim Life Health & Wellness has been a terrible experience. Slim Life Health & Wellness has displayed a lack of transparency and overall negligence to its clients. I am requesting a full refund of $1,213.00 (***** ** **** ********* ********).
