    On February 17, 2023 I walked into J-Rs and placed an order for three sweatshirts to be mailed to me because they would not be finished while I was still in town. I was told I would be contacted with shipping tracking information and never was. Once a few weeks had passed, I contacted the store and was told he wasnt sure what was going on but he would get back to me, he did not. I then called a week later was told that he (the owner) was not sure what happened to the original three sweatshirts but he would make new ones and send them right away. I never received tracking information. I never recieved sweatshirts and my attempts to contact the store have gone unresolved. He is not returning messages nor answering the phone.

    Hello,

    This is the first we've seen of a complaint to the BBB about this issue.

    To the best of my knowledge this would be the only explanation to this issue.

    The owner of ***** ***** Shop  **** J-R ************** passed away due to sudden heart failure in March of 2023.  this can be verified by his online obituary.

    ***** went through several changes at that time due to the unexpected nature of this event. which included closing and reopening under new EIN and name.

    Several orders were delayed however in the case of Ms ****** I was able to go back and find shipping, tracking and delivery confirmation of both orders shipped to 2 separate addresses.

    We apologies that Ms ****** was inconvenienced by the sudden death of **** ******** owner of *****  However her order of was reproduced shipped and delivered as soon as it was possible.

     

    Thank you for your understanding and again we apologies for Ms ******** inconvenience.

    I am rejecting this response because:
      Though it is very heartbreaking to hear of the passing of Mr. **** ******** Senior, I have only ever dealt with **** ******** his son. Who claimed to be the owner of the company. 
    I contacted the business many times and spoke with **** ******** the son regarding the sweatshirts I had ordered. 
    I never received tracking information like I was told I would. I have called repeatedly and left five voicemails asking for a call back which also never happened.
    I would appreciate just a full refund and I will end any and all business with **** and Frostburg Maryland.

    I did not receive the merchandise. At this time I do not wish to receive any merchandise from the company only a refund. I have contacted the company numerous times and left messages to try to resolve the issue of the missing product and received no response.

    The above information is false as we have shipping and delivery confirmation however a full refund was issued at 10:55am on 7/12/23.

    We find it unfortunate that Ms ****** choose to lie about receiving the good as both orders were confirmed delivered.  

    In closing we have issued a full refund of $131.54  to Ms ******** **** ending in 3768
