Aug 12, 2024, I ordered to fix the leakage in my inground pool. Someone came in without my knowledge and fixed it. No knock and no phone calls. Then he demanded $300, which he never said before the work. After negotiating paid him $250. However it started leaking the next day, following days and did inform him. He said he will charge again $300. But he never finished his initial job. I requested him again to fix the leakage but he did not come. Please help and request to fix the leakage. I am ready to pay him $50.00 ( fifty dollars only )Thanks ******* *****

    Business Response

    Date: 08/27/2024

On August 12, 2024, I received a request to inspect a pool for a leak.  The customer reported that they were losing 2-3 inches a day.  I responded that we would be out there on Aug. 13.  We rang the doorbell and knocked on the door upon arrival.  As no one answered, we proceeded to the pool in order to inspect it and make repairs.  We spent one hour on site.  The customer was then sent a bill to pay for the inspection.  My standard fee for a 1 hour inspection is $300.  The customer refused to pay telling me that $300 was too much and he had paid me $145 last time I was there.  I asked him to show me the inspection report and he sent it to me.  The inspection report, from 2020, showed that he was charged $210 for the inspection.  He still refused to pay the $300 fee and told me he would not pay more than $250.  I adjusted the bill to $250, not because I agreed, but because it was best that I close out his ticket.  He told me I should mention my price before I do work.

The next day, the customer told me he lost 1/8 inch of water and requested we come back out.  I informed him that I charge $300 for a one hour follow up call.  He refused to pay the amount.  After several follow up texts, he said he would pay $50.  I informed the customer that when we did his repair 4 years ago that he needed a new liner.  His liner has continued to fall apart and additional time to attempt to repair it are billable.  I reminded him that he needs a new liner and his money would be better spent there.  The customer continued to insist that I come out to fix his pool while refusing to pay my standard rate.  I reminded the customer that my inspection does include any work that I perform during that one hour inspection.  However, additional time for additional repairs are billable.

As we were at an impasse, I suggested that he use the "other person" he was going to get as I could not provide him with the services at the price he requires.
