They charged for me $400+ to fix my generator and it didnt actually fix it. They told me it was an issue much different and more expensive than it actually was. Their bi yearly fee structure is a scam when these generators only need to be maintained once a year. They refused to come look at the broken generator they supposedly fixed without charging me. I do not trust them.

I paid $59 to GAC services (*** ***************., Gaithersburg, MD *****) for a gas furnace tune up on 10/31/2022. $59 was a promotional rate and regular should be $129. I was present when tech was performing the job. I noted he unscrewed parts of the furnace to check and he explained the reasons why my furnace although running would need repairs or replacement soon. He didn’t clean or use any lubricant, or mention or check any issues about airflow to different rooms, or furnace filter, etc. I expected a tune up services which regularly will cost $129 to include more than just telling me what repairs my still running furnace would need anytime soon. The tech spending less than 15 min in my home. Later, the tech sent me an email with attachments of repair costs of certain parts which will cost over $7,000 and an invoice which included description of the tune up services. The tech didn’t do everything as described. When I called the company to express concerns, staff didn’t take my concerns seriously. I felt it’s a waste of money to just have a tech tell me my furnace would need repairs instead of doing something to make it run more smoothly until it breaks down and need repairs. I would like the company to refund $59 to my credit card. I appreciate support and help from BBB in resolving dispute with GAC. I can be reached at ###-###-#### or ***********@*********** for any questions you might have. *** (****) Appreciate any help BBB will offer me in resolving the dispute!

We purchased our new house on April 30th, 2022. We have not had working air conditioning since then. GAC Services installed the ****** ********* air conditioning unit with the previous owner in June 2018. There is a 5 year-warranty on all parts for our unit. On May 16th 2022, I filed a service request through ******** **** ****** Warranty. We were unable to find a qualified technician willing to work on the air conditioning unit because GAC installed our outdoor unit so that the control panel is against a pre-existing fence, making it difficult to work on. On June 7th, a technician from GAC Services came to look at our unit and incorrectly diagnosed our unit and quoted us $3, 400 for labor only. When we did not agree on the quote, he quickly negotiated and dropped the price by $500. We still did not agree and asked him to rotate the unit so that other technicians can work on the unit. He quoted us $1, 200 to fix a problem they created. GAC Services does not provide satisfaction guaranteed like they advertise. Dissatisfied with GAC Services, we decided to continue through ******** **** ******. On June 8th, ************ Mechanical came out and was able to read the code on the control panel that the technician from GAC Services claimed was "broken" and needed to be replaced. After receiving slow service from ************ **********, I contacted GAC Services to file a complaint of the technician and request a second opinion. They sent someone out on July 25th, but it rained 10 minutes before so the technician was not comfortable working on the unit. They sent someone else out the next morning and the technician was able to read the error code and order the needed part that is now backordered. Due to GAC Services inconsistent and dishonest service, we are expected to go the whole summer without AC. GAC Services has incorrectly installed our unit, incorrectly and dishonestly diagnosed the problem and delayed all other services to our unit.
