I am writing to request assistance regarding an unresolved issue with my previous apartment complex, Park Glen Apartments, where I resided from May 2024 to March 2025.During my time at *****************, I was paying a monthly utility bill of $140, which was supposed to cover water, gas, and electricity, as confirmed by the leasing agent prior to my move-in. I also provided my *** account details to the leasing office as requested. However, since moving out, I have received bills from *** stating that I have not paid any utilities during my time at *****************. The total amount now owed is $1,900. I contacted *** and was informed that **** **** never made any payments in my name.I have attempted to resolve this issue by reaching out to the leasing office multiple times via phone and email, but they are not cooperative and are telling me I will have to pay the cost.I would greatly appreciate it if the BBB could assist in mediating this matter and help me resolve the discrepancy. Please let me know what steps I can take, or if you require any additional information from me to move forward.I called the apartment complex and they said that the utilities fee only covered gas, water and trash. They said it is also in my lease. However this is absolutely not what I was told when I moved in. I verified with the leasing agent if the utilities fee of $140 will cover gas, water and Electricity and she said yes. She asked for my *** account number and that was given to her. The leasing office is saying that I will need to pay the $1900 bill which is insane and I feel lied to because I specifically asked and the agent told me yes it would include electricity. I lived there for 11 months and if I didnt pay my electricity after 3 months they would tell me or cut off service however that did not happen and I only received a bill after I decided to move out. I was tricked
