A better plumber came to my house and the plumber ***** *. said that my water softener needed to be replaced, and it did not. I made a down payment by check (#****) on 8/14/2024 of $900.00. The installation day of 8/16/2024 I paid the remaining balance of $2,100.00 by check (#****). I called to tell them that it was not working properly, and the new water softener installed irritated my skin. I called the office to speak with the manager and wanted to tell him I wanted my money back because they fraudulently took advantage of me. I am still waiting for the manager to contact me. They will not respond to any of my calls. I'm sick w/*********** disease and cancer and it is hard for me to get on my computer please call me if you need anything.

The guy, *****, they sent ticked me off at first for not calling beforehand and having me wait all day to hear from him. They sent someone, *****, to fix the pipe on my water heater, who tried to bribe me into making a positive review of the company for $100 off my bill. This is an honest review. The plumber, *****, said he had Covid and assured me he would test himself negative before returning. I informed him that I was pregnant and would not allow him to start work for the standard two week wait. When ***** did start work, upon seeing me filling potholes outside of my house, he thought it generous or perhaps smart to let me know “he would fix anything that I needed fixed”. This immediately made me uncomfortable, as I live alone currently and am unmarried. I let it go. The plumber, *****, decided it would be a good idea to search through my attic for any other pipe problems and put all of his weight with his knee on my air conditioning vent. By the time he left, he said he would take off $100 to write a good review. I gave a positive review for the work and then noticed a large crack in my ceiling. I sent him a photo of the damaged drywall, and he proceeded to try to offer the services of his buddy, presumably to not mention the issue to his boss. He made it sound like his friend would do the work for free and offered to pay half. Looking back, this seemed clandestine. I continued to try and have good rapport. I came back to my house after a day to discover that my water was freezing. The breaker had popped and never had before from the water heater. The company tried to send back the guy looking for side jobs or a girlfriend, and I told them to please not send the same guy, *****, who did the electrical work in the first place. They sent back someone else, ******, who fixed the issue and showed me the burn mark left at the grounding wire. Thomas said they would contact me about sending over someone to fix the drywall. They never contacted me. I reached out myself twice and was assured a manager would contact me back. The third time, the receptionist acted like she didn’t know what I was talking about with the drywall and tried to gaslight everything. She said she thought they sent someone already to fix the issue; This was the electrical issue, not the damaged caused by the plumber. She said a manager would contact me back again, and I am writing this review as an actual and not paid for, honest review, of this company. I will update if they ever send someone to fix the drywall or actually have anyone contact me back about my experience. Update: The owner called and said he did not know about the problem. He said his technician is having personal problems and assured me that his office would contact me about someone to fix the drywall. This is who called me directly, “Hey I didn't even realize when I called that we already talked. Before. And when we talked you told me that the ceiling wasn't a problem and that you wanted other little things done. So now I'm confused because A Better Plumber called me stating they needed an emergency fix. And I have been held up on fixing a job that pipes froze and busted now putting it all together. But what is it that you are looking to do because I told you that the crack can not be matched with the texture ceiling.” This was the person ***** said would do him a favor. I simply told him to let the owner know that he cannot fix the ceiling. He called me and started yelling that I was talking to him about other work before. I would not hire him for other work either and had only contacted him initially about fixing the drywall. I had to hang up on him and block him. I called the company back confused, since I was told that the office would be contacting me and not the disrespectful “drywall guy” who can’t fix textured drywall. I’m not sure why he was so rude, except that I would not give him other work. I’m not impressed with him fixing frozen pipes and would never hire him to fix pipes for my business. I’m still trying to let it go.
